  • Publication number: 20240071587
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods include technology to provide guidance to a patient receiving obstructive sleep apnea treatment. For example, such technology is configured to extract one or more features describing mobile apps usage based on one or more mobile apps logs from a mobile device. A personality type of the patient is determined based on processing the one or more features describing mobile apps usage. A treatment guidance for the patient is determined based on the personality type, where the treatment guidance comprises a first set of messages for the patient in response to a first personality type and a different second set of messages for the patient in response to a different second personality type. The treatment guidance for the patient is communicated to the mobile device associated with the patient receiving obstructive sleep apnea treatment.

  • Patent number: 11355002
Abstract: A method for an alarm silencing or suppression routine following activation of a wake-up alarm on an electronic device (42). The method comprises, following the alarm activation, monitoring (14) light levels at a light sensor (44) of the device and automatically silencing (20) or otherwise suppressing the alarm signal responsive to sensing (16) a light level at the sensor above a pre-defined threshold. Following alarm signal suppression, a further confirmatory monitoring period follows in which light levels at the sensor continue to be monitored (22). If they fall to below a further predefined threshold (26), or below the original silencing threshold, the alarm signal is reactivated (28). This ensures that a user has not returned to a darkened environment a short space of time after alarm silencing, which might lead to the user falling back to sleep.

  • Publication number: 20190074076
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a user's health habits. Various embodiments of the invention allow the user to register habits to a habit registry. Relevant sensor and other data is collected contemporaneously with the registration of the behavior and is stored in association with the registered habit. In normal use, a configured processor attempts to detect occurrences of a previously registered habit by comparing subsequently collected data to previously stored data. When collected and stored data match, a registered health habit is detected, the occurrence may be added to a health habit log, and the feedback may be provided to the user. The feedback assists the user to achieve his goals in health habit management.

  • Publication number: 20180338709
Abstract: In an embodiment, a wearable device (12) is disclosed that automates the detection and determination of a type of activity, and both measures physiological and behavioral parameters and computes information corresponding to measured physiological parameters based on the determined type of activity. An embodiment of the wearable device provides these features by wirelessly receiving a signal with information coded therein that enables the wearable device to automatically detect and identify the type of activity in which a person (82) is engaged. The determination of the type of activity enables a more accurate computation of information that is specific to the activity in which the person is engaged, the computation of information based on the measured physiological and behavioral parameter.

  • Publication number: 20170154517
Abstract: An air quality alert system provides a signal which indicates whether or not a door or window should be (fully or partially) opened or closed. The system takes account of the air quality in a first area (e.g. outdoors) as well as the proximity of the user to a door or window so that information is only provided when the user is situated at the door or window. This avoids overloading the user with unwanted information.
