  • Publication number: 20180174168
Abstract: Web-based opinion survey method, apparatus, and computer-readable media operable to cause propositional function responses to be provided to a survey server from a client device. The propositional functions are P(x), where P and x are the predicate and subject. Each P(x) is evaluated in the client device for subjects, each with a different x. Preferably, the client device displays the subjects within a Web Single Page Application (SPA) running on the client device. Preferably, the SPA displays a nonnumerical scale, the granularity of which is directly proportional to the number of pixels spanned by the scale. For each P(x), the client device displays labeled markers along the scale, to provide an indication of a level of agreement with the expressed P(x). For each P(x) subject, the client expresses an opinion on a position on the scale, whereby a pixel position corresponds to a rating for the selected subject.

  • Patent number: 9524506
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for maintaining businesses rules in a configuration system are disclosed. The presently disclosed system allows systems to be configured using a plurality of rules that are syndicated by a plurality of different manufacturers. Each manufacturer syndicates a portion of the overall system attributes and/or configuration rule set for use by others. Configuration users, such as the sales channel, may then create additional rules and/or configure products with the most recent version of the component attributes and configuration rules, and no single entity is burdened with maintaining the entire attribute and/or rule set.

  • Patent number: 9411153
Abstract: The invention provides an illumination device comprising a pump light source and a phosphor wheel. The phosphor wheel comprises at least two segmented phosphor layers. The front surfaces of the phosphor layers do not form a common plane, but instead a kind of relief in which the surfaces of the phosphor layers extend in different imaginary planes. When the phosphor wheel rotates through a beam waist of the pump. light, in this way the size of the pump light spot and therefore also the power density distribution of the pump light on the respective phosphor layer are adapted.
