Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for analyzing embedding spaces using large language models. In one aspect, a method performed by one or more computers for analyzing a target embedding space using a neural network configured to perform a set of machine learning tasks is described. The method includes: obtaining, for each of one or more entities, a respective domain embedding representing the entity in the target embedding space; receiving a text prompt including a sequence of input tokens describing a particular machine learning task in the set to be performed on the one or more entities; preparing, for the neural network, an input sequence including each input token in the text prompt and each domain embedding; and processing the input sequence, using the neural network, to generate a sequence of output tokens describing a result of the particular machine learning task.

  • Publication number: 20250108180
Abstract: A dry powder inhaler includes a powder storage element configured to hold a powdered medicament and an inlet channel receives powdered medicament from the powder storage element that is entrained in an airflow. The inlet channel has a first diameter and defines an opening. The inhaler includes a dispersion chamber that receives the airflow and the powdered medicament from the opening. The dispersion chamber has a second diameter. The inhaler includes an actuator housed within the dispersion chamber. The actuator oscillates within the dispersion chamber when exposed to the airflow to deaggregate the powdered medicament entrained by the airflow passing through the dispersion chamber. A ratio between the first diameter and the second diameter is between about 0.40 and 0.60 such that an audible sound is produced as the actuator oscillates. The inhaler includes an outlet channel through which the airflow and powdered medicament exit the inhaler.

  • Publication number: 20250111490
Abstract: A method of determining aberration in an optical system comprising an adaptive optical element is provided. The method comprises obtaining a first image in which the adaptive optical element is in a first configuration. The method comprises obtaining a second image in which the adaptive optical element is in a second configuration, wherein the second configuration is different from the first configuration. The method comprises applying a transform to the first image and the second image to produce a transformed first image and a transformed second image. The method comprises obtaining a ratio comprising the transformed first image and the transformed second image and determining a pseudo-PSF from the ratio. The method comprises providing data sampled from the pseudo-PSF to a machine learning algorithm that has been trained to determine an output indicative of aberration coefficients from the data.

  • Publication number: 20250110058
Abstract: A viewing device is configured to magnify and view a marking on a gemstone. The viewing device includes a light source, a mask, a magnifying optical device, and a camera. The light source generates light directed along a first path towards the gemstone. The mask partially obscures the light from the light source to generate a pattern. The partially obscured light is reflected off of the gemstone and magnified by the magnifying optical device. The camera is positioned to capture the magnified light. One or more additional light sources generate light directed along a second path towards the gemstone. The light enters the gemstone through a preferred facet and internally reflects. Internally reflected light scatters off of an internal mark in the gemstone and exits the gemstone through the gemstone's top face. The reflected and scattered light is magnified by the magnifying optical device and captured by the camera.

  • Publication number: 20250111883
Abstract: An address-skipping trim search performed by a memory built-in self-test system comprises: perform memory read operations on one memory bank to determine whether it fails to correctly sense values of stored data based on a reference trim value for a previous memory bank; if the present memory bank fails, perform memory read operations to search for a new reference trim value for the present memory bank; or otherwise, treat the present reference trim value as the one for the present memory bank and proceed to testing a next memory bank. The range for searching for the new reference trim value can be limited by the present reference trim value.

  • Publication number: 20250111134
Abstract: Disclosed are novel approaches to debugging a formula in a spreadsheet environment. An execution trace shows step-by-step how a formula is evaluated. Instead of overwhelming users by displaying a step for every atomic evaluation, multiple evaluations are displayed in the same step. This makes the execution trace compact yet intuitive, enabling users to quickly and efficiently understand how the formula is evaluated. Visualizing formula execution in this way also reduces the computing and energy costs of excess recalculations incurred by trial-and-error based debugging techniques.

  • Publication number: 20250111135
Abstract: Disclosed is a range preview system that displays data from a relevant range of cells. The range preview system intelligently elides and contextualizes data ranges for efficient visualization. The range preview system optimizes space utilization by selectively collapsing rows and columns. For example, rows and columns that are referenced by a formula may be selected for inclusion in the range preview. This conserves screen real estate while providing users with a concise overview of data ranges. The range preview system may also infer labels, providing context during formula interpretation by associating references with nearby headers or other descriptions.

  • Publication number: 20250111027
Abstract: A method, computer system and computer program are provided for achieving a secure authentication token for accessing an application. The method captures a user gesture provided by a user as an authentication token and analyses the gesture to evaluate a measure of complexity of the gesture. Responsive to a determination that the measure of complexity does not meet a minimum measure of complexity, an amendment is determined and proposed to the gesture to increase a complexity of the gesture. The capturing and analysing steps are repeated, and, responsive to a determination that the gesture meets the minimum measure of complexity, the gesture is approved as a secure authentication token.

  • Publication number: 20250111329
Abstract: An online concierge system uses images captured for fulfillment of a first order to affect item information of a second order. When a picker fulfills the first order in a physical warehouse, the picker captures an image of the physical warehouse, for example to capture an image of potential replacement items. The online concierge system detects items in the image along with a location of the item in the physical warehouse based on the image. The detected items and respective locations may then be used to modify a second order, for example to route a picker for the second order to updated or alternate locations of the detected items.
