    Abstract: An active grille shutter arrangement having a modular frame. The active grille shutter arrangement includes a primary frame piece defining a width and height of an aperture of the modular frame, wherein in the primary frame piece has a motor housing, and upper frame portion having a first end and a second end, a lower frame portion having a first end and a second end and the motor housing extends between the upper frame portion and the lower frame portion. There is a plurality of secondary frame pieces. The modular frame of the active grille shutter arrangement is formed by the connection of the primary frame piece in the secondary frame piece, wherein the modular frame defines the aperture. The active grille shutter arrangement further includes a plurality of vanes rotatably positioned between the first end cap and the second end cap for controlling the amount of air flowing through the one or more apertures of the modular frame.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a welding head for magnetic pulse welding of hollow thin-walled profile to an inner member having a complementary outer form to said hollow thin-walled profile. The weld head comprises two movable weld head halves (10a,10b) forming said weld head wherein each half has at least one individual induction coil (12a,12b) connected to a power source independently from the other weld head half, with coils wound in a kidney-shape. The work piece is clamped between shapers (15a,15b) integrated with each half. With this weld head could for example work pieces such as tubular thin-walled profiles be welded, even if they are integrated in a closed tubular design, as the weld head could be closed quickly over the welding position and opened for release of the work piece without experiencing arching in clamping area.

    Abstract: A surface-finished steel sheet, in some examples cold-rolled thin steel sheet, includes a metallic corrosion-resistant layer that may comprise more than 40% by weight aluminum and iron. In some examples, a nickel layer may be applied to a steel sheet, preferably cold-rolled thin steel sheet in the form of flat steel product, prior to hot-dip coating the steel sheet with a liquid aluminum melt or with a liquid melt of aluminum-based alloy.

    Abstract: A heat dissipation system apparatus and method of operation using hygroscopic working fluid for use in a wide variety of environments for absorbed water in the hygroscopic working fluid to be released to minimize water consumption in the heat dissipation system apparatus for effective cooling in environments having little available water for use in cooling systems. The system comprises a low-volatility, hygroscopic working fluid to reject thermal energy directly to ambient air. The low-volatility and hygroscopic nature of the working fluid prevents complete evaporation of the fluid and a net consumption of water for cooling, and direct-contact heat exchange allows for the creation of large interfacial surface areas for effective heat transfer.
