  • Publication number: 20020145056
Abstract: An oil activated fuel injector control valve which substantially eliminates captured air within working fluid of the fuel injector. This eliminates shot by shot variations in the fuel injector as well as increasing the efficiency of the fuel injector. The fuel injector includes a control valve body which has vent holes which prevent air from mixing with the working fluid. In this manner, the working fluid does not have to compress and/or dissolve the air in the working ports prior to acting on the piston and plunger mechanism in an intensifier body of the fuel injector.

  • Patent number: 6371382
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for machining control edges of a valve, preferably of a valve for a fuel injection device of an internal combustion engine, with the fuel injection device having at least one piston with control edges which co-operate with control edges fixedly connected to a valve, wherein respectively co-operating control edges are machined in one single machining operation with the aid of one single tool. The invention also relates to a fuel injection device with a valve which has control edges machined according to this method and which activates at least one injection valve body for closing off nozzle openings, wherein the valve is controlled by a control unit and is equipped with working connections by which a pressure medium is supplied to a control piston for displacing the injection valve body.

  • Patent number: 6345804
Abstract: The present invention relates to a control valve, especially for fuel injection devices for internal combustion engines, preferably diesel engines, with a valve housing within which at least one piston is displaceable and which comprises stops for the piston, wherein at least one of the stops is axially displaceable.

  • Patent number: 6293252
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injection device for internal combustion engines, preferably Diesel engines. The device has at least one control valve by means of which a control piston is displaceable by a pressure medium in order to convey fuel through at least one channel toward a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. The device has at least one accumulator for the pressure medium disposed in a flow direction of the pressure medium, whereby the accumulator is provided within the control piston.

  • Patent number: 6286484
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fuel injection device for combustion engines, preferably Diesel engines, with at least one pilot valve by means of which a control piston is displaceable by a pressure medium in order to convey fuel through at least one line/channel toward a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, whereby at least one accumulator is provided in the flow path of the fuel or the pressure medium, and an accumulator space is connected to the connecting line/channel for the fuel or the pressure medium.

  • Patent number: 6279543
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure regulator for controlling a pre-injection quantity of fuel in internal combustion engines, preferably Diesel engines, with a control piston which is connected in a first position with a relief valve for producing a decreased pressure on an injection valve and which, in a second, subsequent position can be separated from the relief valve for producing a higher pressure.
