  • Patent number: 7698050
Abstract: A method and a device for controlling a drive unit are provided, which allow for a reproducible load reversal damping. For this purpose, a setpoint value for an output variable of the drive unit is limited so that an overrun fuel cutoff of the drive unit is prevented. A limiting value for the setpoint value for the output variable is formed as a function of a loss value of the drive unit.

  • Publication number: 20090005065
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are generally directed to systems and methods for setting status flags for mobile data distribution based on the subscription rules. A mobile middleware manages several objects between the mobile device and the backend system. The mobile data distribution happen based on subscription rules set up on the object. A status flag is assigned to each such subscription rule and any change in the subscription rule triggers updating of that corresponding status flag. The mobile middleware distributes data to the backend system and to the mobile devices based on the subscription rule evaluation. For updating the subscription rule, it is sufficient to evaluate only the status flags that have changed.

  • Publication number: 20080262891
Abstract: The method by which an information distribution system distributes information to subscribers is controlled by user profiles. A user profile is automatically generated by a profile generator based on information known about the user and a plurality of policies detailing what kind of users is eligible to receive what kind of information. User information and policy definitions are found on a user record store and a policy store connected to the profile generator, and the generated user profile is stored on a user profile store.

  • Publication number: 20080162596
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for receiving a first message and creating a before image of the first message by comparing the first message with a second message stored in a message database. An actual message to be updated in a target device is identified by combining a transaction data and the before image of the first message.

  • Publication number: 20070049246
Abstract: Middleware for mobile data management may include an association table and a message store. The middleware may operate to receive a business object instance from a backend system, determine one or more mobile devices associated with the business object instance, associate the business object instance with the one or more mobile devices and with an insert state in an association table, and associate, in the association table, the business object instance and the one or more mobile devices with a full-state message in the message store.

  • Patent number: 7142821
Abstract: A radio frequency transmitting and receiving module having a support housing that has a hexagonal face member mounted to the support housing. This face member has an antenna for transmitting and receiving radio frequency signals. Mounted within the support housing is circuitry for (a) conducting radio frequency signals to the antenna for transmission by the antenna, and (b) conducting radio frequency signals received by the antenna from the antenna for processing. Such a module, functioning as a hexagonal power unit core, can be fixed in a honeycomb cellular array employing “plug and play” assembly techniques.

  • Patent number: 6918367
Abstract: During a start, particularly during a cold start, of an internal combustion engine without additional auxiliary drive, a precisely metered fuel mass is introduced into a combustion chamber. In the case of an internal combustion engine having direct fuel injection, a rail pressure prevailing in a high-pressure accumulator is frequently only insufficiently built up during a start, which has an unfavorable effect on the mixture formation. To improve the start performance of the internal combustion engine, the injection pressure available in the high-pressure accumulator is monitored during the start, and fuel from the high-pressure accumulator is first injected into the at least one combustion chamber when the injection pressure has reached or exceeded a specifiable threshold value. This ensures that the rail pressure is high enough, in order to inject a sufficient quantity of fuel into the combustion chamber so that an ignitable air/fuel mixture is formed.

  • Patent number: 6758190
Abstract: A method and a device for controlling an output variable of a drive unit in the starting phase is described. A controller is provided, regulating the actual value of at least one output variable to a setpoint variable of this output variable which is specified as a function of time. • Patent number: 5889763
Abstract: A transfer rate controller (10) allows the originator of the data to determine when the data is transferred on the communications link. A method of regulating the transfer of ATM cells to maintain rate precision and provide flexibility for dynamically adjusting the rates at which cells are transferred has been described. In accordance with information on the chronology of prior transfers, cell loss priority, set of rate parameters, traffic types, and priorities, a scheduler (12) determines and schedules the relative ordering or placement of virtual connections with respect to one another. The finder (14) selects virtual connections for data transfer. Therefore, the transfer rate controller (10) provides individual transfer rates to virtual connections in accordance with the type of data traffic transferred.

  • Patent number: 4072819
Abstract: A circuit arrangement is disclosed for storing messages formed of teletypewriter characters in a teletypewriter system. The teletypewriter system has a reception control which can be supplied with teletypewriter characters from a teletypewriter line or an input device. The teletypewriter system also has a transmission control which can emit teletypewriter characters to a teletypewriter line or the reception control. A memory unit is supplied with teletypewriter characters from received and written-in messages via the reception control. A memory in the memory unit has electronically triggerable memory elements arranged in matrix-like fashion. The teletypewriter characters may be stored in the memory and are not lost when an operational voltage to the memory is switched off. The memory emits teletypewriter characters of a message which is to be transmitted to the transmission control.

  • Patent number: 4004675
Abstract: A tabulator device for typewriters, particularly for teleprinters or data-printers in which tabulation marks are set, cancelled and recalled, in which a store having electronically operable storage elements are operative to effect storage of the desired tabulation marks, register means being provided for addressing the respective storage elements of such store, with the setting i.e. insertion, or cancelling i.e. removal of a mark from the store being effected by means of a write-in control unit operatively connected thereto and tabulation marks being read out of the store by the aid of a read-out control unit operatively connected thereto. The store is in the form of a semi-conductor store constructed from MNOS (metal-nitride-oxide-substrate) transistors and thus does not change its contents following disconnection of the operating voltage. Where the matrix is in the form of a row and column matrix, two registers may be employed which may be in the form of shift registers provided with feedback.

  • Patent number: 3968330
Abstract: A code generator for teleprinters or data printers which, for the recognition of the subscriber, emits a sequence of character signals assigned to the subscriber. A memory is provided which is constructed from electronically operable storage elements in which the character signals are stored and are not altered after the disconnection of the operating voltage. Registers are provided which contain the addresses of the particular operated storage elements and a read-out control unit is provided by means of which the character signals are read out from the storage elements.
