  • Patent number: 8068591
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for announcing caller information to users over a television link. The method comprises receiving signalling information associated with an incoming call destined for a destination party, the signalling information comprising a portion conveying information regarding an origin of the incoming call and information regarding an identity of the destination party. The method also comprises attempting to establish a telephony link with a device associated with the destination party over a communication network in response to said receiving. The method further comprises attempting to establish a second telephony link with a processing entity to convey said portion of the signalling information to the processing entity to cause delivery of an indication of the origin of the incoming call over a television link associated with the destination party, said indication based on said information regarding an origin of the incoming call.

  • Publication number: 20100299155
Abstract: A system and method is provided for generating a multi-dimensional contextual platform that may be used to manage, diagnose, and communicate with patients in a medical practice. In particular, the system may provide a website that may provide dynamic, avatar-based interfaces that include a doctor interface and a patient interface. A doctor may create a subscription with an operator of the website in order to find new patients and view patient health records across multiple dimensions. A patient may create a subscription with the operator to locate a doctor and maintain open communications with the doctor. Once subscribed, the doctor and patient may use the website to enhance the overall healthcare experience by using social networking aspects of the website to facilitate doctor and patient communication in real-time.

  • Publication number: 20070209543
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a toy roller coaster assembly having magnetically attachable track sections and an integrated audiovisual system. The assembly can include a magnetic lift, a magnetic bridge, and a magnetic U-turn. A controller can control the frequency by which a magnetic lift delivers balls to an uppermost track section and can produce audio and/or visual effects in response to signals from sensors that detect passing balls. Joint members of the assembly can magnetically connect the track sections to each other and to a plurality of vertical supports, to provide a variety of configurations. The controller can generate voice and music samples, sound effects, graphic displays, animation sequences, and video clips in conjunction with the motion of the balls through the circuit of the roller coaster assembly.

  • Publication number: 20040068421
Abstract: A communications apparatus has an interface unit, interface unit with at least one input/output device and a computer. The input/output device is responsive to the computer to present clinical information to a care giver and non-clinical information to a patient. At least one server operatively connected to the interface unit provides customer services to assist the care giver and patient to use the apparatus. The system automatically guides the user through the process required to accomplish the desired result. Where the user prefers, as indicated by the user's activation of a “operator assist” feature or where the system cannot resolve the user's inquiry in the absence of operator assistance, the user is connected to a live operator. Such a connection is made using voice over internet or other techniques, so that it is not necessary to provide a separate telephone connection.
