  • Patent number: 11850877
Abstract: A printed product is produced by providing a substrate, producing at least one interlayer on the substrate, printing a printed image onto the interlayer, and forming a barrier layer on the printed image. The barrier layer is provided on the printed image by applying a barrier composition to at least one carrier, at least partially drying the barrier layer and transferring it to the printed image. Preferred substrates have an acidic precoat layer as an interlayer. Such substrates can then be varnished with glossy varnishes, to achieve particularly high gloss values.

  • Patent number: 11661284
Abstract: A carrier roller for a conveyor belt may be configured to be rotatable about an axis of rotation and may include a roll element with a rolling support region that is configured to provide rolling support for the conveyor belt. The rolling support region is rotationally symmetrical with respect to the axis of rotation of the carrier roller and has different diameters along its axial extension, including a maximum diameter and a minimum diameter. The minimum diameter of the rolling support region is at least 95% and at most 99.8% of the maximum diameter of the rolling support region. • Publication number: 20230150256
Abstract: A method for creating a printed product includes providing a printing substrate, providing a first fluid, applying the first fluid to the printing substrate as a first layer, providing an effect fluid as a second fluid, the effect fluid including a carrier fluid and platelet-shaped effect pigments, and applying the effect fluid to the printing substrate as a second layer, the second layer forming an effect layer. The first layer is created as a duct layer having a multiplicity of ducts. The ducts allow at least a portion of the carrier fluid of the effect fluid to pass through or enter, and the ducts substantially do not allow the effect pigments of the effect fluid to pass through or enter. This provides a cost-efficient and advantageous way of creating high-quality printed products with top quality finish and special effects having improved impact of the special effects.

  • Patent number: 11548300
Abstract: A method for operating a printing machine having a processor and a device for detecting features of printing substrates includes storing print jobs with the printing substrates appropriate thereto in a database. Features of at least one printing substrate are detected by using the device. The detected features of the at least one printing substrate are compared by the processor with the printing substrates of the print jobs from the database. The processor selects at least one print job in which the printing substrates of the print jobs from the database correspond to the at least one detected printing substrate or attain a predefined similarity. The at least one print job selected by the processor is subsequently executed on the printing machine.

  • Patent number: 11392645
Abstract: A computer system permits flexible, natural conversational type interactions. A natural language processing module receives natural conversational type interactions from a user and generates structured data from unstructured inputs regarding user queries within a domain. A data stack comprises a database with configurable comparison and evaluation logic for importing, transforming, normalizing, and exporting data pertaining to the domain. A dialogue authoring module includes control logic for permitting creation of complex dialogues. The dialogues are generated from recipes that characterize aspects of a product within the domain. A core module receives the structured data created by the natural language processing module and causes output to the user in the form of natural language type responses by way of one or more templates. An analytics and reporting module provides analysis of usage of the system.
