Abstract: A microwave oven includes a heating chamber, a plurality of cooking utensils detachably disposed in the heating chamber selectively in accordance with the cooking contents, a plurality of heat sources heating food placed on or contained in the cooking utensil and including a magnetron, an oven heater and a grill heater, optical sensors determining the cooking utensil disposed in the heating chamber, and a microcomputer. The cooking utensils include a glass dish, thawing gridiron, pot, upper and lower top plates, one-legged top plate, and gridiron. A microwave cooking mode is selected when the determination of the optical sensors indicates that neither upper nor lower top plate is present in the heating chamber. A heater cooking mode is selected when either upper or top plate is present. When the heater cooking mode is selected on the basis of presence of the upper top plate, either an oven mode or a grill mode is selected depending upon presence or absence of the gridiron.

Abstract: A banking terminal includes a plurality of locks which are provided at predetermined parts of the banking terminal and unlocked in response to instruction signals, a memory part for storing a table of attribute data in correspondence with one or a plurality of locks which are to be unlocked, a card reader for reading information from a identification card which prestores at least attribute data, and a control part for automatically unlocking one or a plurality of predetermined locks out of the locks by supplying instruction signals based on the attribute data read from the identification card by the card reader by referring to the table of the memory part.

Abstract: An integrated circuit having a memory capable of being tested protects data stored in the memory from being read out of the integrated circuit during testing. Data input during memory testing is internally compared with data stored in the memory. The integrated circuit also outputs the accumulated comparison results. The output comparision result also may differ from the data in timing. An input unit includes an external terminal and a plurality of buffers for controlling data input and output to and from the integrated circuit.

Abstract: Apparatus for machining the planar side face of a piston ring having a cutting tool holder reciprocable with respect to the planar side faces of the piston rings in the axial direction thereof. A cutting tool is secured to the cutting tool holder so that it cuts the side face of the piston ring from the axial direction to reduce the amount of cutting depth of the undercut portion on the ring.

Abstract: Apparatus for supplying a predetermined number of piston rings to a work station including a vertically movable slide plate interposed between a charge-side chute and a discharge-side chute. Both the chutes have inclined grooves formed on side surfaces thereof for suspending the piston rings for sliding movement by gravity and the slide plate also has grooves adapted to receive a set number of rings from the charge-side chute at one position and to discharge the same from the slide plate to the discharge-side chute at another position. An adjuster is provided for controlling the number of the piston rings to be fed to the slide plate and discharged to the discharge side chute.

Abstract: An apparatus for grinding the finish of piston rings comprises a grinding sleeve having a plurality of sleeve elements forming a cylindrical hollow member, and an adjuster to move the sleeve elements in unison in the radial direction thereof to maintain for the internal diameter of the cylindrical member substantially equal to the nominal dimension of the piston ring as the grindstones on the sleeve elements are worn down.
