Abstract: A fuel-activating substance comprising a fuel-activating material and having heat resistance imparted thereto. This fuel-activating substance can hence be applied or attached even to parts to be used under such temperature conditions that use with organic resin binders has been impossible, whereby the effect of saving energy in combustion devices is further heightened. The heat-resistant fuel-activating substance is characterized by being obtained by melt-mixing 50-150 wt. % metallic thermal spray material with 100 wt. % fuel-activating material of which the spectral emissivity for electromagnetic waves with wavelengths in the range of 3-20 ?m is 0.85 or more and making the mixture capable of thermal spraying. Alternatively, 100 wt. % the fuel-activating material and 50-150 wt. % metallic material having a melting point of 420° C. or lower may be formed into a sheet through melting. Furthermore, a mixture of 100 wt. % the fuel-activating material and 75-150 wt.

  • Patent number: 7996003
Abstract: When generating an RF test signal for mismatch calibration for receiver in order to calibrate reception mismatch of an I-phase signal and a Q-phase signal that are output from demodulated signal processing circuits coupled to mixers for receiving, a Tx VCO avoids covering the higher frequency of an RF received signal in an FDD system. An RF test signal generating unit generates, in a calibration mode of a mismatch calibration for receiver circuit, the RF test signal by using an oscillation output signal of the Tx VCO and other circuits, and supplies the same to the mixers for receiving via a switch. The RF test signal has a frequency within an RF reception frequency band that is higher than that of an RF transmission signal with the maximum frequency band of multiband radio frequency communications. By switching the switch in a reception mode, an output of a low-noise amplifier that amplifies the RF received signal received by an antenna is supplied to each of the mixers for receiving.

  • Publication number: 20110023981
Abstract: An oil pressure control apparatus for an automatic transmission configured with an oil pressure servo that engages and disengages a friction engagement element. The friction element is engaged by first and second hydraulic oil chambers that individually provide low torque, and can provide a higher torque when working in combination. A failure solenoid valve outputs a signal when a failure occurs to stop oil pressure to an oil pressure servo. Valves are configured to determine whether oil pressure is supplied to or discharged from the first and second hydraulic oil chambers. A switching valve is switched on the basis of the failure signal, and an oil pressure can be individually supplied to and discharged from the first and second hydraulic oil chambers based on the status of the switching solenoid valve and the signal from the failure solenoid valve.

  • Patent number: 7868870
Abstract: An operation unit is used for a user to perform a tilt operation. The operation unit includes a disc-shaped detection subject member with a detection subject plane, which intersects with a basic axis Q of the operation unit and is movable integrally with the operation unit. Three detecting units are fixed in three different disposed positions surrounding a neutral axis N to detect displacement parallel with the neutral axis, which is generated by movement of the detection subject plane. A computing unit determines three-dimensional detected positions M1, M2, M3 of the detection subject plane by using (i) the disposed positions (X, Y) of the three detecting units and (ii) displacement detection outputs Z detected by the three detecting units. A tilt direction, in which the operation unit is tilted, is determined using a displacement plane DP defined by the three-dimensional detected positions M1, M2, M3.

  • Publication number: 20100301935
Abstract: To provide a bias circuit for gain control that can reduce gain variation at low-power output, facilitate setting of output power, and is unlikely to be affected by variation in element values and variations among products. Use in an HPA having three bias circuits serially-connected is assumed. Current of the third bias circuit is varied with a square-law characteristic. The square-law characteristic is amplified by a buffer amplifier including a linear amplifier and a peripheral circuit thereof. Output current of the third bias circuit varies depending on a current drivability coefficient of the diode-connected FET branched from the connection point between a constant current source and the linear amplifier. The output current of the third bias circuit is controlled by providing a circuit that draws a certain amount of current from the current flowing in the FET.

  • Patent number: 7834917
Abstract: Noise reduction is performed on the basis of characteristics of an image in a detection range. A noise reduction block 4? performs a second-order differentiation process and a symmetry process to decide adjacent pixels with which noise reduction is preformed for an attention pixel. With the pixel level of the attention pixel in the detection range and the pixel levels of adjacent pixels used for noise reduction, an arithmetic mean processing section 16 calculates a mean value. A median filter 17 selects a median value. With the number of pixels used for noise reduction, it is determined whether the image in the detection range contains a flat portion, a ramp portion, or an edge. The mean value and the median value are weight-added with a weighted coefficient that are changed on the basis of characteristics of the image. The result is substituted for the level of the attention pixel.
