  • Patent number: 9107268
Abstract: Light from each LED is applied to an integrating sphere (reference object), and a light amount calculator calculates light reflected from the integrating sphere. Calibration data, in which source control signals applied to the LEDs are associated with amounts of the light from the LEDs emitted in response to the source control signals, respectively, is generated. A maximum amount of the light from each LED is set in accordance with a predetermined light amount ratio. Based on the maximum light amount, an nth light amount which corresponds to a brightness step n is set. With reference to the calibration data, the source control signal which corresponds to the nth light amount is set as the source control signal for the brightness step n. A light control table is generated by associating the source control signal for the brightness step n with a brightness command signal for the brightness step n.

  • Publication number: 20150089927
Abstract: An internal combustion engine comprises an exhaust purification catalyst which can store oxygen, controller for controlling the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas to become a target air-fuel ratio, and a downstream side air-fuel ratio sensor. An abnormality diagnosis system performs an active air-fuel ratio control which alternately controls the target air-fuel ratio to rich and lean air-fuel ratios, and diagnoses abnormality of said exhaust purification catalyst based on the output air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel ratio sensor. The abnormality diagnosis system judges that the exhaust purification catalyst is abnormal when the output air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel ratio sensor reaches a rich judgment air-fuel ratio and a lean judgment air-fuel ratio during the active air-fuel ratio control, and judges that said air-fuel ratio control is abnormal when the output air-fuel ratio reaches only one of the rich and lean judgment air-fuel ratios.

  • Publication number: 20150086428
Abstract: An abnormality diagnosis system of an internal combustion engine which is provided with an exhaust purification catalyst 20 which can store oxygen is provided with a downstream side air-fuel ratio sensor 41 downstream of the catalyst and a catalyst abnormality diagnosis system which uses an output air-fuel ratio of the downstream side air-fuel ratio sensor when performing active air-fuel ratio control as the basis for diagnosing an exhaust purification catalyst for abnormality. The catalyst abnormality diagnosis system uses the amount of oxygen which is stored in or released from the exhaust purification catalyst in an air-fuel ratio reversal time period in active air-fuel ratio control as the basis to calculate the maximum storable oxygen amount of the exhaust purification catalyst and uses this as the basis to diagnose the exhaust purification catalyst for abnormality.

  • Publication number: 20140253580
Abstract: A vessel suppression process is performed on RGB image data. A display of capillary vessels is suppressed by the vessel suppression process. After the vessel suppression process, tone of the RGB image data is reversed. Thereby, a suppressed-and-reversed image is produced. Even after the tone reversal, the capillary vessels do not interfere with observation of a ductal structure in the suppressed-and-reversed image, because the display of the capillary vessels is suppressed. In the suppressed-and-reversed image, the ductal structure is darker than a mucous membrane due to the tone reversal, so that the color of the ductal structure is close to that of an indigo.

  • Patent number: 8675046
Abstract: A narrow-band observation image and a spectral estimation image are automatically switched based on the type of a subject. In an endoscopic image obtained by a scope, judgment is made as to whether the endoscopic image was obtained by close-up imaging or by distant-view imaging. When it is judged that the endoscopic image was obtained by distant-view imaging, white light is output from a light source unit and a spectral estimation image is output. When it is judged that the endoscopic image was obtained by close-up imaging, narrow-band light is output from the light source unit and a narrow-band observation image that has been obtained when the narrow-band light was output is output.

  • Publication number: 20140063216
Abstract: In an oxygen saturation level measurement mode, a color image sensor images an internal body portion alternately irradiated with measurement light and normal light. A normal image is produced from image data obtained under irradiation with the normal light. An oxygen saturation level is calculated from image data obtained under irradiation with the measurement light. Based on the oxygen saturation level, a hyperoxic region and a hypoxic region are determined in the normal image. A color balance process and a color enhancement process are applied to the hyperoxic region to improve visibility of depressions and projections of internal body tissue and a blood vessel pattern. A gain process is applied to the hypoxic region to make distinct color variations according to the degree of the oxygen saturation level.

  • Patent number: 8413497
Abstract: When a wastegate valve, which opens and closes an exhaust bypass passage bypassing an exhaust turbine, is open, exhaust gases of respective cylinders bypass the exhaust turbine and pass a sensing point of an air-fuel ratio sensor downstream of the exhaust turbine. Accordingly, the exhaust gases of the respective cylinders can be avoided from being mixed by the exhaust turbine, so an influence of an inter-cylinder variation in an air-fuel ratio due to an inter-cylinder imbalance abnormality becomes apt to appear in an output waveform of the air-fuel ratio sensor. Therefore, existence or nonexistence of the inter-cylinder imbalance abnormality is determined based on the output of the air-fuel ratio sensor when the wastegate valve is open. Eventually, the existence or nonexistence of the inter-cylinder imbalance abnormality can be determined accurately, thereby improving detection accuracy of the inter-cylinder imbalance abnormality.
