Abstract: Disclosed are a photographic yellow dye-forming coupler of formula (I) and a photographic material containing one or more such yellow couplers. ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an alkylamino group, an anilino group, or a heterocyclic group; R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an aliphatic-oxy group, an aryloxy group, an aliphatic group, or an amino group; R.sub.3 represents an alkenyl group; R.sub.4 represents a substituent; m represents an integer of from 0 to 3; and X represents a hydrogen atom, or a group capable of being split off from the formula by the coupling reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent. The couplers have a high solubility in solvents, and emulsions containing the couplers can be stored in cool for a long period of time without worsening the coloring property of the couplers.

Abstract: A silver halide color photographic material is described, which comprises a support having thereon at least one photographic layer, wherein at least one of said photographic layers contains at least one radical scavenger, and the support comprises a poly(alkylene aromatic dicarboxylate) whose glass transition point is from 50.degree. to 200.degree. C. and has been subjected to a heat treatment at a temperature of lower than the glass transition point thereof and not lower than 40.degree. C. either before formation of a subbing layer or after formation of a subbing layer and before formation of a silver halide emulsion layer.

Abstract: A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, in which the silver halide color photographic material comprises at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the compounds represented by one of formulas (A-I) to (A-V); and 60% or more of the total projected area of silver halide grains contained in at least one of the light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers is occupied by tabular grains having an aspect ratio of 2 or more, and the tabular grains have a dislocation line number of 10 or more per one grain.

Abstract: There is disclosed a silver halide photosensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer coated on a support, wherein silver halide grains in the emulsion layer are subjected to reduction sensitization and contain a radical scavenger, prior to the completion of a chemical sensitization. There is also disclosed a silver halide emulsion and a method of manufacturing the same. The said silver halide photosensitive material has a enhanced sensitivity, without causing high fog.

Abstract: A novel silver halide color photographic material comprising a support provided thereon at least one layer containing at least one compound represented by the following general formula (A): ##STR1## In the formula, L.sub.1 represents an alkylene or arylene group; R.sub.1 represents a substituent which can be substituted for a hydrogen of the benzene ring; m represents an integer 2 to 7; and n is 0 or an integer of 1 to 4, with the proviso that when either or both of m and n are at least two, the plurality of L.sub.1 groups and/or R.sub.1 groups may be the same or different, and with the proviso that the compound of formula (A) does not form a polymer via an R.sub.1 group.
