  • Patent number: 8570702
Abstract: There are provided a substrate sheet, a plurality of design portions arranged independently from each other along a longitudinal direction of the substrate sheet and each including at least a conductive material portion, and a band-shaped static eliminating band portion extending continuously along the longitudinal direction of the substrate sheet and electrically connecting the conductive material portions in the plurality of design portions to each other.

  • Patent number: 8322618
Abstract: When a read resolution set for a reader unit (200) is different from the transmission resolution, the read resolution is increased, and then the reader unit (200) reads an image. When the image read by the reader unit (200) contains the first encoded image obtained by encoding input information, the first encoded image is decoded to restore the input information. The restored input information is encoded at the transmission resolution to generate the second encoded image. The second encoded image is transmitted to the destination.

  • Patent number: 8248650
Abstract: An image processing apparatus has a capability of displaying a preview image on a display under the control of a controller even in the middle of a process of reading document pages in a binding reading mode in which a large number of document sheets are read by repeatedly performing reading on a part-by-part basis until all pages of a given set of document sheets have been read. The preview capability enables a user to easily detect if an error occurred in reading one or all of the pages. If a particular page of image data is detected to have an error, re-reading of that page is performed using a scanner unit. The page of image data having the error is discarded and the image data obtained by re-reading is inserted in place of the discarded page. After completion of re-reading, reading of the remaining pages of the document set can continue in the binding reading mode. This leads to a drastic improvement in operational efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7738143
Abstract: The image data with the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image added and an image area flag signal stored in the hard disk drive are inputted into a thinning filter. A thinning circuit does not perform thinning processing on these pieces of data and outputs the inputted image, as it is. The filter performs processing so that an image of a copy-forgery-inhibited pattern background part may be deleted. A selector selects an image signal not passing through the filter for a latent mark of the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern whose image area flag is set as “Character,” and select an image signal subjected to the processing by the filter for a copy-forgery-inhibited pattern background part whose image area flag is set as “Photograph.” By doing so, it is possible to perform low pass processing on only the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern background part and perform processing of making a latent-mark part emerge.

  • Publication number: 20060109504
Abstract: A control method for an image forming apparatus for executing various jobs transmitted from an information processing apparatus includes analyzing a process transmitted from the information processing apparatus and generating a job according to the analysis. Each of information constituting a job, information constituting a binder, and information constituting a document, is managed. The generated job is divided into a smaller document unit to generate a document which is processed, the document is divided into a smaller page unit to generate a page, which is processed, and the page is divided into a smaller band unit to generated a band, which is processed. Requests are arbitrated for using a device from the document generation, document processing, page processing, and band processing. At least one of the document, page, and band processing is done according to formats of input and output data.

  • Publication number: 20020015160
Abstract: The invention provides a digital composite apparatus capable of analyzing a received command which is a request for a process, and generating a job. Except for the setting and process relating to the entire job, the job is divided and processed in binders constituting a smaller work unit. Except for the setting and process relating to the entire binder, the binder is divided and processed in documents constituting an even smaller work unit.
