Abstract: A video camera, capable of being connected with a computer, for photographing animated images. The video camera includes: a camera main body for outputting image signals corresponding to the animated images; and a memory adapter, detachable from the video camera, for recording one of the animated images as a still picture. The memory adapter also sends back the image signals, corresponding to the still picture, to the video camera so that the video camera outputs the image signals corresponding to the still picture.

Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the preparation of an alloy having excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance, which comprises subjecting a powdery mixture comprising a powder of at least one matrix metal selected from the group consisting of Fe-based alloys, Co-based alloys and Ni-based alloys and a vanadium carbide powder to a heat treatment, wherein by repeating fusion and re-fusion by a heat treatment using a heat source having a high energy density, a phase of uniform and fine vanadium carbide particles is recrystallized and/or redeposited in the matrix metal phase.

Abstract: A sliding structure for high load and having high strength as well as sufficient lubricating performance, wherein a solid lubricating material is buried in a sliding surface, an oil reservoir of a predetermined capacity is formed on the reverse of the surface; oil supplying pores extend from the oil reservoir to the sliding surface; and a continuous pore material inserted into the oil supplying pore which provides a limited supply of oil to the sliding surface concerned.

Abstract: A silver halide type camera wherein an optical image of a subject focused on a silver halide film is received by a charge coupled device, an image information from the charge coupled device is processed by a signal processing device and displayed on a display, and a photographing condition is changed according to the image on the display immediately before taking a picture to form an optimum picture on the silver halide film.

Abstract: An apparatus for purifying crystals comprises a crystal purifying tower having a transverse cross-section of two partially overlapping circles, stirrers each comprising a rotational shaft passing through the center of each of the circles and having blade members disposed spirally on its surface, a solid-liquid separation plate disposed at the bottom portion of the tower, a liquid take out means disposed below the separation plate, a starting crude crystal feed means disposed above the separation plate, a purified crystal take out means disposed at the upper portion of the tower, heating means disposed in the tower in a multistage manner along the longitudinal direction of the tower, and purified crystal circulation means for cooling a portion of purified crystals taken out from the tower and feeding back the cooled crystals to the tower at at least one portion of the tower.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for the automatic focussing of a video camera having a camera circuit for generating electric image signals corresponding to the brightness of an object, a circuit for sampling at least two sampling signals from the electric image signal, an A/D converter for obtaining at least one inclination value corresponding to at least one pair of the sampling signal, and a stop for stopping a focussing lens when at least one of the inclination values exceeds a predetermined value.
