  • Patent number: 4386297
Abstract: Disclosed is a driving circuit of a gas discharge panel comprising X-electrode rows and Y-electrode columns arranged in a matrix. In order to decrease the number of driving elements, the X-electrode driver is comprised of a first up drive circuit commonly used for applying a discharge sustaining voltage and a write-in voltage to the X electrodes, and a first down drive circuit for grounding the first up drive circuit when the discharge sustaining voltage or the write-in voltage is not applied to the X electrodes. Also, the Y-electrode driver is comprised of a second up drive circuit for applying a discharge sustaining voltage to the Y electrodes, a second down drive circuit for grounding the second up drive circuit when the discharge sustaining voltage is not applied to the Y electrodes, a write-in driver for applying a write-in voltage to the Y electrodes, and a clamping circuit for grounding the Y electrodes when the write-in voltage is not applied to the Y electrodes.

  • Patent number: 4322469
Abstract: An electrostatic recording medium for use in an electrographic process for forming an electrostatic latent image, and method for making such a recording medium, which includes a base, a resistance layer on the base, an adhesive layer on the resistance layer and a recording layer laminated to the resistance layer through the adhesive layer, the adhesive layer being made of a mateial so that the volume resistivity of the resultant recording medium is relatively unaffected by changes in humidity conditions.

  • Patent number: 4299748
Abstract: An aqueous coating composition in the form of an aqueous dispersion of acrylic copolymer prepared by polymerizing a mixture of acrylic monomers in an aqueous medium containing an electroconductive copolymer. The composition forms coatings having both heat sealing properties and antistatic properties and also possessing transparency, anti-blocking properties, slipping properties and resistance to weather and to water.

  • Patent number: 3954903
Abstract: A new impact-resistant ABS resin composition is disclosed comprising (1) 100 parts by weight of a graft copolymer of vinyl aromatic monomer and vinyl cyanide monomer, said copolymer being grafted onto butadiene rubber particles of a size of from 0.5 to 2.0 .mu. dispersed in the graft copolymer and (2) 1 to 10 parts by weight of a straight chain saturated polyester having an average molecular weight of from 1000 to 50000. The composition is prepared by the bulk-suspension two stage polymerization of vinyl aromatic monomer and vinyl cyanide monomer in the presence of butadiene rubber component. The polyester is incorporated during either the bulk polymerization stage or the suspension polymerization stage, or it is blended with the ABS polymer after the two stage polymerization is completed.

  • Patent number: 3935153
Abstract: Molding compositions having improved properties for low-pressure, low-shear molding techniques are prepared by carrying out a two-stage polymerization of an initial mixture comprising a polymerizable monomer selected from the group consisting of (1) a polymerizable aromatic monoalkenyl monomer or (2) a mixture of such aromatic monoalkenyl monomer with another polymerizable monovinyl monomer; in the presence of a butadiene rubber elastomer under bulk polymerization conditions, followed by suspension polymerization conditions; the process being characterized by the incorporation into the initial mixture of 1 to 10 wt. %, based on the polymerizable monomers, of a straight chain saturated polyester having an average molecular weight of 1,000 to 50,000.
