  • Publication number: 20050253089
Abstract: The ion implanting apparatus according to this invention includes: an ion source for producing the ion beam 20 including desired ion species and being shaped in a sheet with a width longer than a narrow width of a substrate 82, a mass separating magnet 36 for selectively deriving the desired ion species by bending the ion beam in a direction perpendicular to a sheet face thereof, a separating slit 72 for selectively making the desired ion species pass through by cooperating with the mass separating magnet 36, and a substrate drive device 86 for reciprocatedly driving the substrate 82 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the sheet face 20s of the ion beam 20 within an irradiating area of the ion beam 20 which has passed through a separating slit 72.

  • Patent number: 5889916
Abstract: A video data recording apparatus for recording video data using a tape-like recording medium accommodated in a cassette provided with a semiconductor memory by which it is possible to suitably determine the cuts and make effective use of the semiconductor memory to enable efficient editing. The user can mark the recorded video data with the desired starting position and ending position of the video data. The marked cuts are used to extract the index picture and, at the same time, the recording positions of the cuts and an index picture on the tape recording medium are recorded in the semiconductor memory.

  • Patent number: 5438203
Abstract: A magnetic deflection system for scanning an ion beam over a selected surface comprising: a magnetic structure having poles with respective scanning coils and respective pole faces that define therebetween a gap through which the ion beam passes; a primary current source coupled to the scanning coils adapted to apply to the scanning coils an excitation current to generate a substantially unipolar oscillatory magnetic field in the gap that alternates in polarity as a function of time to cause scanning of the ion beam, the substantially unipolar magnetic field having a magnitude sufficiently greater than zero to prevent the transverse cross-section of the ion beam from substantially fluctuating in size while the ion beam is being scanned across the selected surface.

  • Patent number: 5253010
Abstract: A flexible printed circuit board for use in a display unit of a camera, which includes a flexible substrate with a printed circuit pattern, a die of an integrated circuit chip mounted on said substrate for driving the display drive, a plurality of wires, and resin sealant for covering said integrated circuit chip. The flexible substrate has first terminals to be in contact with a display device and second terminals in electric connections to said first terminals, respectively. The die of the integrated circuit chip includes a plurality of connecting terminals. The plurality of wires are for bonding said connecting terminals of the integrated circuit chip to said second terminals of said printed circuit pattern.

  • Patent number: 4586863
Abstract: An apparatus for shaping a metallic pull ring and simultaneously connecting it to a container closure is disclosed. The apparatus includes a pre-shaped article former for shearing with a rotary shearing blade a rectangular metal blank from the end portion of a thin metal strip and simultaneously blending it to form an annular pre-shaped article having overlapped opposite ends, a closure feeder as well as a pre-shaped article feeder for continuously positioning a container closure and the pre-shaped article to a rotating support member in such a relation that the free end portion of a tear-off tab of the closure and a part of the pre-shaped article overlap each other and a pull ring shaper and connecter for curling the peripheral edge of the pre-shaped article in the radial direction to form it into a ring and simultaneously rolling the tear-off tab into said ring and connecting them to each other.
