  • Publication number: 20080158533
Abstract: For an image-capturing unit having a light source and mirrors directing light reflected from a scanned document into a lens condensing the light onto a photoelectrically converting image sensor, a synthetic resin housing. The housing is composed of an open-ended upper frame having a top plate from which sidewalls extend, encompassing an internal space. A mounting surface for anchoring the light-source is formed on the upper side of the upper-frame top plate, and formed on the lower side of the upper-frame top plate is a pedestal on which the lens is supported. Mirror-support projections are formed on the lower side of the upper-frame top plate, or on the upper-frame sidewalls, to support the mirrors from below the lens. With this housing, the influence of heat from the light source on the optics is minimized, improving the mirrors' positional accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20080136339
Abstract: The invention allows a top-emission-type organic EL display device to use a chemically stable conductive film containing ITO for forming a lower electrode of an organic EL layer. The organic EL layer includes an electron injection layer, an electron transport layer, a light emission layer, a hole transport layer and a hole injection layer. An upper electrode which constitutes a transparent electrode is formed of an IZO film. A lower electrode adopts the two-layered structure consisting of a lower layer made of Al or an Al alloy having high reflectance and an upper layer formed of a chemically stable ITO film. To enable the injection of electrons from the ITO film which constitutes the lower electrode, the electron injection layer is formed using a film which is acquired by co-depositing Li and Alq3 at a molecular ratio of 3:1. Due to such a constitution, electrons can be injected from the ITO film thus realizing the top-emission-type organic EL display device.

  • Patent number: 7355211
Abstract: Conventional light-emitting elements, in particular an organic electroluminescence devices, involve problems resulting from a low light extraction efficiency of 20% or less, because of limitations on light emission set by total reflection angle on an organic layer or transparent electrode as the component, and are demanded to have improved luminance and other optical characteristics which depend on viewing angle. The present invention provides an organic electroluminescence device which can improve a light extraction efficiency and thereby reduce operational current and power consumption by incorporating a laminate of optical thin films of low refractive index and having pores whose size is controlled at a level equivalent to or shorter than visible wavelengths, because the light components totally reflected to become wave-guided or reflected light in a common device can be extracted as light scattered by the pores.

  • Patent number: 7346837
Abstract: The present invention provides a relative position and/or posture measuring system for measuring relative positions and relative postures between a magnetic field generator and a magnetic field detector by detecting a change in a magnetic field, in which the magnetic field generator includes a clock generator, a plurality of M-sequential code generators, a plurality of spread code generators, a plurality of integrators, and a voltage to current converter, and transmission coils TX, TY, TZ generate magnetic fields according to driving currents based on spread code obtained by converting code sequences generated by the M-sequential code generators to spread code with the spread code generators. The magnetic field detector reversely spreads received magnetic field detection values to obtain a magnetic field amplitude, and computes relative positions and relative postures of the two from the magnetic field amplitude.

  • Publication number: 20080042550
Abstract: The present invention ensures performance and reliability of a top-emission-type organic EL display device, reduces manufacturing steps by simplifying the structure of the display device, and reduces a manufacturing cost. TFTs each of which has a semiconductor layer, a gate insulation film which covers the semiconductor layer and a gate electrode are formed on a substrate. An interlayer insulation film is formed on the substrate to cover the TFTs. Lower layer portions of SD lines formed of a multi-layered film which are formed on the interlayer insulation film constitute a lower electrode of an organic EL layer, and a passivation film which covers the TFTs and the SD lines plays a role of a bank which separates pixels. An uppermost layer of the SD line is formed of a chemically stable metal oxide film, and the SD layer is used as it is. On the other hand, as a lower electrode of an organic EL layer, an upper layer of the SD line is removed and an Al—Si alloy film of the SD line is used.
