  • Patent number: 7927096
Abstract: A heat treatment apparatus includes a support sheet placed on an upper surface of a heat-treating plate. The support sheet has, formed on an upper surface thereof, projections for contacting and supporting a substrate, and a lip for contacting edge regions of the substrate. The support sheet is formed by an etching process, and therefore areas of the sheet around the projections are recessed, rather than being perforated as in the case of laser processing. These heat-treating plate and support sheet constitute a substrate support structure capable of supporting the substrate properly.

  • Patent number: 7914163
Abstract: A ventilation fan and light (10) is disclosed having a housing (12) and a light kit (13). The housing includes a housing box (15) with a conventional fan scroll (17) having an electric fan (16) mounted therein. The housing also includes a ceiling plate (21) configured to cover the housing box from view. The ceiling plate includes a decorative features (22) and an array of air intake ports (23) extend through the ceiling plate and positioned within a decorative feature to camouflage the air intake port from view. The light kit includes a plurality of light arms (26) which terminate with a light housing (27) and diffusor (28). The spacial relationship between the ceiling plate and the majority of the light kit structure further obscures the air intake ports from view, prevents the build up of heat within the housing, and creates a better airflow pattern within the room in which the light is mounted.

  • Patent number: 7717674
Abstract: A ceiling fan (10) is disclosed having a motor (13) and motor housing (11) suspended from a ceiling by a downrod (12). The motor rotatably drives an annular array of blades (15). The ceiling fan also includes a tubular screen or shroud (20) mounted about the motor housing and blades so as to substantially conceal a large portion of these components from view. The shroud includes an annular lower mounting plate (21) and an annular side wall (23) extending upwardly from the lower plate. The side wall is formed of a series of candles (24) having the appearance of flickering wicks (25) through incandescent bulbs. The lower plate is coupled to the downrod through a coupler (27) and a series of first arms (28).

  • Publication number: 20060174981
Abstract: A support table holds a working fluid in an inner space thereof, and has four cylindrical heaters arranged to surround a cooling plate disposed centrally of the support table. In time of heating, vapor generated from each cylindrical heater spreads toward a central region and peripheral regions of the support table (as schematically shown in two-dot chain line arrows). The vapor can reach peripheral ends, without flows of the vapor colliding with one another, in a way to suppress generation of stagnation points. Since the support table can be heated uniformly, a substrate is heat-treated uniformly over the entire surface thereof. The support table is cooled efficiently by the cooling plate disposed centrally of the support table.

  • Patent number: 7018586
Abstract: A weathering test method comprising making active oxygen and light simultaneously act on a test piece, a weathering test method comprising successive and/or alternate steps of making active oxygen and light simultaneously act on a test piece and making at least one of light, oxygen, and water to act on the test piece, and apparatus for carrying out the methods are disclosed. In evaluating weatherability of organic materials, articles made of organic materials or articles coated with organic materials, the methods and apparatus achieve acceleration of deterioration of test pieces to greatly reduce the testing time.
