  • Publication number: 20020079640
Abstract: The invention concerns a hole-punching processor that forms punched-holes, for binding sheets into a file, on the sheets, which are ejected after images are formed on them from an image forming apparatus such as, for example, a copying machine, a printer, a facsimile machine or a compound machine thereof. The hole-punching processor forms a punched-hole on a sheet residing in a conveying path for conveying the sheet through the hole-punching processor. The hole-punching processor includes a hole-punching device being movable in a direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the sheet and a sheet-edge detector to detect a side-edge of the sheet in a direction parallel to the conveyance direction of the sheet. The hole-punching device moves with the sheet-edge detector to a center of the sheet, based on positional information of the side-edge detected by the sheet-edge detector, to punch a hole in the sheet.

  • Patent number: 5797686
Abstract: A wheel bearing device is provided in which the cutting amounts of end faces in a simultaneous process substantially balance with each other, so that a polishing process is facilitated and the tightening axial force of a nut can be stabilized.A wheel bearing device has an outer race which serves also as a housing; an inner race which serves also as a shaft; an inner race member which is fittingly fixed to the shaft which is the inner race; rolling elements and a cage which are disposed in an annular space between the outer race, and the inner race and the inner race member; and a nut which fixes the inner race member to the inner race by an axial force. In the wheel bearing device, the inner race member is formed so that the area of an end face abutting against a step portion of the shaft of the inner race is substantially equal to the area of an end face abutting against a bearing surface of the nut.

  • Patent number: 4055618
Abstract: A process for preparing granular sorbic acid by adding water and/or a lower alkyl alcohol to powdery sorbic acid, kneading the resulting mixture under specific conditions to give a uniformly wetted powder, supplying the wetted powder to a screw type extruding machine, extruding the wetted powder through a perforated-cylinder die under specific conditions to give a vermicelli-like extrudate, and drying the extrudate. The obtained granules have sufficient rigidity and can be easily powdered by a mechanical action. When starch is added together with water and/or a lower alkyl alcohol, more rigid granules, but able to be easily powdered by a mechanical action such as agitation, are obtained.
