    Abstract: In an exhaust gas processing apparatus for an internal combustion engine, supply power is fed to a corona discharge tube via a short-pulse high-repetition switching element to produce a corona. A harmful substance in exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine is removed by the corona. An MAGT (MOS Assisted Gate-Triggered Thyristor) is used as the short-pulse high-repetition switching element. Thus, the life of the switching element is increased and a high purification performance is achieved even at the time of start of operation when the temperature of exhaust gas is low.

    Abstract: A braking force control system is provided with a controller connected to a vehicle operating condition detector, an engine braking force actuator and a wheel braking force actuator. The controller determines a target total braking force on the basis of the vehicle operating condition, a target transmission ratio and a target engine output on the basis of the target total braking force and calculates an engine braking force on the basis of the vehicle operating condition. The controller extracts a fast component of a rate of change of the target total braking force and determines a target wheel braking force on the basis of the fast component. The controller controls wheel braking force actuator so as to correspond the wheel braking force to the target wheel braking force. Therefore, a total responsibility of the system is improved by enhancing a follow-up characteristic during a first half of a transient period.

    Abstract: In order to produce a decorative laminate by adhering a transfer printing sheet to the three-dimensional irregular surface of a base, solid particles (P) are caused to collide with the transfer printing sheet (S) from the back surface thereof with the transfer printing sheet (S) facing the irregular surface of the base (B), and the transfer printing sheet (S) is brought into pressure contact with the irregular surface of the base (B) by utilizing the collisional pressure, thereby transferring the transfer printing sheet (S) to the base (B). In the case where a thermally stretchable transfer printing sheet is used, it is better to conduct transfer printing by heating at least one of the base, the transfer printing sheet, the solid particles, and so on.

    Abstract: On a surface of a decorative paper, vessel perforation of natural wood is reproduced by an offset groove (100) consisting of three steps of embossing grooves (110, 120, 130) of the nesting structure. Respective grooves are such that they are deeper according as positions thereof shift to the internal, and are disposed in a manner to be eccentric in a length direction. Within the groove, a convex bank portion (140) in which the bottom surface is linearly protruded is formed. An embossing plate for processing such an offset groove is prepared on the basis of a vessel cross section pattern inputted by using natural wood. The inputted plane vessel cross section pattern is replaced by an approximate elliptical figure. A three-dimensional virtual vessel perforation model is determined by calculation using the elliptical figure. Equi-depth lines for set predetermined depths are extracted from the three-dimensional model and contour figures of embossing grooves (110, 120, 130) are obtained.

    Abstract: A flange for a drum is disclosed. The flange is mounted on one end of the drum to rotate together with it, and comprises a hole passing therethrough along the axis of rotation to receive a rotation shaft therethrough, so that the flange can rotate together with the rotation shaft. The hole comprises an inside portion having an oblong cross section and an outside portion having a perfectly circular cross section, the inside portion being located toward the drum, and the outside portion being open toward the outside. One end portion of the rotation shaft has an oblong cross section and is securely fitted in the oblong portion of the hole. When the drum is to be tested for concentricity with the rotation shaft, a conical rotation pin is inserted into the circular portion of the hole so that the flange can be rotated concentrically with, and together with the conical rotation pin.
