  • Patent number: 7442147
Abstract: A controller determines the state of the range detector on the basis of the detection signals detected by the range detector, then when the range detector is determined to be in an abnormal condition, the controller moves the shift-changing valve until the movement is inhibited by the restriction member, thereby establishes the position of one end, and controls the actuator with respect to the established one end position and on the basis of the amount of operation to move the shift-changing valve to the position corresponding to an instructed shift range. Even when the range detector is in an abnormal condition, it is possible to make a change to the shift range corresponding to a shift range changing command.

  • Patent number: 7382107
Abstract: By utilizing a mechanical backlash generated between an electric actuator and a shift range switching mechanism, a specific region is obtained, in which a variation in the output shaft angle is relatively small with respect to a variation in rotor angle. In this specific range, an actual shift range position is calculated, whereby the rotor angle that the motor controller recognizes is corrected so as to relate the actual shift range position. A deviation between the rotor angle and the actual shift range is corrected, so that the shift range switching is precisely performed.

  • Patent number: 7377192
Abstract: In a controller for a vehicle-mounted component, a shift position detector that detects an effective shift position of an automatic transmission. A shift position switching unit switches the effective shift position of the automatic transmission. A parking switching unit mechanically locks the output shaft of the automatic transmission when the effective shift position in a parking position. A shift position switching controller, which is not energized when the engine is stopped, controls the shift position switching unit. A memory device memorizes the effective shift position at a timing when the shift position switching controller stops being energized. A vehicle-mounted component controller prohibits an operation of a vehicle-mounted component when the effective shift position in the memory device is not in the parking position while the current supply to the shift position switching controller is stopped.

  • Publication number: 20080001568
Abstract: A position shift control apparatus is provided which includes an electrical motor joined to an object through an output shaft and a torque transmission mechanism, a detent mechanism producing elastic pressure to hold the object at a target position, and a motor controller. When torque, which is created by the elastic pressure produced by the detent mechanism and acts on the output shaft during rotation of the motor, is opposite in orientation to that outputted by the motor, the motor controller determines the angular position of the motor, as sampled upon a change in an output from an output shaft position sensor, as a reference angular position of the motor for use in controlling the position of the motor, thereby resulting in a decrease in mechanical load on the detent mechanism and the torque transmission mechanism to ensure the durability and operation accuracy of the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20070296372
Abstract: A synchronous motor controller is provided which is designed to diagnose whether a failure is occurring or not in energizing one of phase windings of a synchronous motor which is required to be energized first to start the synchronous motor. When such a failure is found, the controller reverses the synchronous motor slightly to bring one of the phase windings which is possible to energize properly to a starting position where the energization of the phase windings is to be initiated to start the synchronous motor in a required direction, thereby ensuring the stability in starting the synchronous motor even if any of the phase windings is failing to be energized.

  • Patent number: 7174024
Abstract: A flat acoustic conversion device includes two magnets disposed so that their magnetic poles face upward arid are adjacent to or in contact with one another, and the magnetic pole faces of different polarities arc disposed alternately; a vibrating member disposed on the top surface of the yoke; coil pairs wound in helical form and disposed at front and reverse surfaces of the vibrating membrane; such that magnetic flux traveling in a direction substantially parallel to a surface of the vibrating membrane becomes a maximum, and interlinks with the coil pairs. When current is supplied to the coils, a direction of force which the current receives from a magnetic field is substantially orthogonal to the surface of the vibrating membrane, and force in a direction along the surface of the vibrating membrane becomes extremely low. Thus, noise components can be reduced such that sound quality can be improved.
