  • Publication number: 20060201768
Abstract: An ECU controls a starter relay. Output angle detector detects a rotational angle of an output shaft in a rotary actuator. The ECU stores a first rotational angle which is detected by the output angle detector when a starting switch is OFF. When the starting switch is ON and when the difference between a second rotational angle detected at that time by the output angle detector and the first rotational angle already stored is not within a certain value, the ECU inhibits the operation of the starter relay to inhibit engine start.

  • Publication number: 20060163025
Abstract: When a detent plate reaches a drive/control stopping position, the torque reducing control for gradually reducing electric power supplied to an electrically operated actuator by duty control is performed and then energizing the electrically operated actuator is stopped. With this, the output torque of the electrically operated actuator is gradually reduced and even when the drive/control stopping position deviates from a detent stabilizing position, the balance between drive/control stopping torque and restoring spring force is gradually released and hence the detent plate does not swing after switching the shift range is finished.

  • Patent number: 7081063
Abstract: An internal planetary gear mechanism reduces a load applied to tooth surfaces of an external gear and an internal gear, a sliding portion such as a bearing and the like. By setting the amount of eccentricity ? of an eccentric part to be larger than a theoretical value, a distance between the center of the external gear and the center of the internal gear is increased to allow the reduction of a loss in the bearing and on the tooth surfaces of the gears, and a mesh zone between the internal gear and the external gear can be reduced to decrease a part at a large pressure angle, thereby reducing a loss generated by a large pressure angle. As a result of reduction in the mesh zone between the external gear and the internal gear, rolling contact of the gears is maintained.

  • Publication number: 20050255955
Abstract: An eccentric portion of a first shaft is supported by a pair of roller bearings. If moments are generated by meshing of an externally toothed gear and an internally toothed gear and inner pins and inner pin holes that configure a rotation control mechanism, the pair of bearings provide two point support for the externally toothed gear. Accordingly, the externally toothed gear is supported so as not to tilt with respect to the first shaft, and a configuration is provided in which point contact does not occur in the meshing area of the externally toothed gear and the internally toothed gear.

  • Publication number: 20020001392
Abstract: In a loudspeaker system of the present invention, a plurality of flat loudspeaker units are arranged and fixed linearly in the longitudinal direction of an elongated opening provided at a side portion of a cabinet to form a base unit. In such a manner, a series of sound sources extending linearly can be achieved, and at the same time, sounds output from the flat loudspeaker units are synthesized to thereby increase the energy. Accordingly, a listener can listen to sounds under the same condition anywhere along the cabinet. Moreover, the loudspeaker system of the present invention has an effect in that the sound is not perceived as noisy even in a position close to the loudspeaker while the sound is perceived as clearly in a position far from the loudspeaker as it is perceived in the closer position.

  • Patent number: 6230576
Abstract: A single actuator such as an electric motor is used to actuate a shift range changing mechanism of an automatic transmission. The motor has a plurality of torque generating units each of which is capable of generating a torque sufficient to effect any shift range changes of the shift range changing mechanism. All of the torque generating units are driven electrically normally in response to a shift range change command. Operation of each torque generating unit is monitored separately from each other. When one of the torque generating units fails in operation, the torque generating unit in failure is not driven but the other torque generating units are driven to effect a shift range change. The failure of the torque generating units is indicated on an indicator in a vehicle. The motor may be a brushless type or a reluctance type.
