  • Patent number: 6185034
Abstract: An electrochromic layer consisting of an electrochromic material film and an electrolyte is provided between transparent electrode films of two glass substrates. An ultraviolet radiation stabilizing agent is not added to the electrolyte. A photocatalytic layer and a porous inorganic hydrophilic layer are formed on the front surface side of the front side glass substrate to make the surface of the device hydrophilic. The photocatalytic layer is excited by irradiation of ultraviolet radiation and decomposes dirt deposited on the surface of the porous inorganic hydrophilic layer, thereby maintaining the hydrophilic property. Since the photocatalytic layer absorbs ultraviolet radiation, occurrence of a photochromism in the electrochromic material film can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5520057
Abstract: The present invention has an object of simply and accurately measuring a load applied to a mechanical press. A test billet obtained from material of which the mechanical strength is uniform and which is finished precisely is placed on the press and pressed between a slide and a bed of a press, whereby an upsetting amount and a pressure at that time of pressing the billet are measured by a load cell. As a result, a press load, which may be calculated by establishing as functions such elements as material, deformation amount, and working speed of a test billet, can be accurately obtained by a simple measurement of the test billet to which established properties have preliminarily been given.

  • Patent number: 5299443
Abstract: The present invention provides a small-sized slide adjusting device for use in a forging press manufactured by a simplified manufacturing process. An adjusting lever is provided with a nut receiving section, and a nut to be received in the nut receiving section is provided with turning shafts in axial alignment. A mounting hole is provided through two sides of the receiving section, a disc having an eccentric through hole is fitted in each mounting hole, and the turning shafts of the nut are fitted in a respective through hole. In one embodiment the nut is provided with a female screw situated at a right angle to the axial alignment direction of the turning shafts, and one end of the screw is connected to a motor mounted on a slide. In the slide adjusting device of this construction, a variation in height occurs due to the circular arc motion at the time of inclined movement of the adjusting lever making a center of a wrist pin a fulcrum followed by turning movement of the disc and turning shafts.

  • Patent number: 4872731
Abstract: In a vehicular brake control system, a hydraulic braking operation starting from a master cylinder and ending at a wheel cylinder is divided into two systems, i.e., starting from the master cylinder and ending at a stroke absorber (master cylinder system) and starting from a hydraulic generator and ending at the wheel cylinder (wheel cylinder system). Since the master cylinder system is provided with the stroke absorber, a relationship between a depression force imposed on a brake pedal and a brake stroke can be fixed. Since the wheel cylinder system is provided with an output hydraulic control valve controlled so as to produce a braking deceleration rate according to the depression force, another relationship between the depression force and braking deceleration rate can also be fixed.
