  • Patent number: 6514064
Abstract: In order to waterproof a terminal connecting portion of a sheathed wire, in which a terminal fitting and a bare conductor of the sheathed wire are connected with each other, the terminal connecting portion of the sheathed wire is placed into a molding cavity of a molding die such that a bottom face of the terminal connecting portion is closely brought into contact with one of inner faces of the molding cavity. Then molten molding resin is injected into the molding cavity such that a bottom face of a solidified molding resin and the bottom face of the terminal connecting portion define an identical plane.

  • Publication number: 20020127915
Abstract: The terminal connecting portion is covered at a rear portion with the molding resin 30 such that the covered rear portion is shaped in fusiform, and when the sheathed wire 10 is bent at this portion, the resin thereon is less peeled off. The molding part 43 of the die 40 is closed at one side with the elastic lid plates 9a, 9b opposing at an upper part and a lower part each other, and the terminal connecting portion is set to the molding part 43, and a part of the sheathed wire 10 extending rearwards from one side of the molding part 43 is elastically held by the elastic lid plates 9a, 9b upwards and downwards. The molten molding resin 30 is injected into the molding part 43 to cover almost the whole of the terminal connecting portion. Radiating fins are formed in a slope of the tapered hole in one side of the mold, said radiating fins having a plurality of parallel alternate concave grooves and convex ribs so as to improve the radiating effect of the molding resin 30 and shorten a cooling time.

  • Publication number: 20010054671
Abstract: A clamp for holding a flat cable comprises a base, a cover, a projection extending from the base toward the cover, and a pair of cantilevers positioned at points symmetrical with respect to the center of the cover and extending toward the base. The base consists of a bottom and two sidewalls extending from the bottom and facing each other, and the flat cable is received in this bottom. The flat cable has a slit, and the projection is inserted into the slit when the base receives the flat cable. The cantilevers hold down the top surface of the flat cable when the cover is closed. The clamp also has a clip extending from the bottom of the base in a direction opposite to that of the projection. The clip allows the flat cable to be attached to, for example, an automobile body in a simple manner.

  • Patent number: 5324202
Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a luminescent display by applying pressure to a transparent planar sheet containing a luminescent dye or pigment where such pressure is sufficient to cause one smooth surface of the transparent sheet to contact a facing smooth surface of an opaque planar sheet, the smooth surfaces of the transparent and opaque sheets tending to adhere together at the area of contact, thereby creating a luminescent image at the area of contact which can be selectively erased by separating the smooth surfaces of the transparent and opaque sheets at the area of contact, and for allowing copying of the image by positioning a sheet of carbon paper between the opaque sheet and a sheet of plain paper so that the application of pressure to the transparent sheet causes pressure to be applied through the carbon paper to the sheet of plain paper, thereby copying the image displayed on the transparent sheet onto the sheet of plain paper, the carbon paper being selectively movable to allow segments of

  • Patent number: 5174129
Abstract: An absorption heat pump performs cooling and/or heating by using outside air as a radiation source and an absorption source. An absorber is inserted in a solution circulation path and a refrigerant path, absorbs refrigerant vapor in a solution, and ejects refrigerant vapor. An outside air coil for performing heat exchange between a refrigerant and the outside air and a room coil for performing heating exchange between the coolant and a heating medium from a load inside the room are disposed, and one of them functions as a condenser in cooling or heating. The condensed refrigerant from the condenser is led into the absorber so as to cool the absorber. The refrigerant vapor generated in the regenerator and the refrigerant vapor generated in the absorber which is inserted in the solution circulation path are mixed and supplied to the condenser. Therefore, it is possible to simplify components of the heat pump and to contribute toward making the heat pump compact.
