  • Patent number: 5647162
Abstract: The invention concerns a fishing rod in which a fishline is passed through the inside thereof. In the fishing rod, one of front and rear rod pipes to be connected together is provided with an enlarged diameter portion for receiving an outer periphery of the other rod pipe. Such enlarged diameter portion reduces a difference between the inside diameters of the front and rear rod pipes, to thereby eliminate the possibility that the fishline can be abutted against the end portion of the rod pipes. Thus, the frictional resistance of the fishline can be decreased, so that the fishline can be smoothly drawn into and out of the rod pipes.

  • Patent number: 5642938
Abstract: A mixing apparatus, which can prevent possibility of mixing nonuniformity and contamination, employs a small and simple mechanism, and is advantageous with respect to costs. A vessel is gripped and held from the right and left sides by a hand member. The hand member horizontally rotatable by an urging power of a coil spring at the bottom of a support member. A vibration motor comprises a DC coreless motor body and an eccentric weight, the weight being eccentrically mounted to a motor shaft of the motor body. The rotation of the weight allows the motor body to eccentrically rotate, whereby the support member conically revolves and vibrates. The weight has a semicircular cross section. The support member is connected to a mobile member for moving the support member through a resilient member to allow the conical revolution of the support member.

  • Patent number: 5638507
Abstract: Herein disclosed is a duplex computer system to be used in process automations or factory automations. The system is constructed of two computer (or processor) systems connected with a common backplane bus and a plurality of I/O units to be controlled by those computer systems. Each of these systems is composed of a CPU having a self-diagnosis function for outputting a ready signal indicating whether or not its operations can be normally accomplished, a communication interface unit for interfacing with the backplane bus, and a duplex control unit that receives the ready signal output from the CPU in order to determine which of the computer systems is to be brought into a control status while the other is brought into a standby status.

  • Patent number: 5582435
Abstract: A resin pipe provided with a retainer fitting at an end thereof having an open end portion. The open end portion has a small outer diameter portion adjacent the open end which is provided with a seal fixed onto an outer circumferential surface thereof, and a large outer diameter portion extends axially from the small diameter portion on which is provided a crimping groove formed circumferentially on the outer circumferential surface thereof to protect a seal between the retainer fitting from crimping forces. The retainer fitting has an inner cylinder portion, a small-diameter outer cylinder portion extending axially round the opening end from the inner cylinder portion, an enlarged-diameter portion extending outwardly from the small-diameter outer cylinder portion, and a large-diameter outer cylinder portion extending axially from the enlarged-diameter portion so as to cover the outer circumferential surface of the large diameter portion.

  • Patent number: 5375364
Abstract: A fishing rod includes a reel rest whose top has a reel foot mounting portion, and a grip located in front of the rest, and having a front portion and a thumb contact part which defines a flat top surface having a sufficiently lower height that the top of the front portion. When a fisherman uses the fishing rod while gasping the grip with his hand, a fishline is kept from coming into contact with the thumb of the hand or the portion thereof, which adjoins the thumb.

  • Patent number: 5269837
Abstract: An evaporation loss control device provided with a polymer chamber filled with polymer absorbent, a charcoal chamber filled with charcoal, introduction and purging pipes for connecting the polymer chamber with a fuel tank and an engine intake passage, respectively, an air pipe for ventilation connected to the charcoal chamber, and a vapor passage, which has various forms. For example, the vapor passage may be formed in spiral to encircle the polymer chamber, or provided between the polymer and charcoal chambers, thus allowing the evaporated fuel to pass therethrough. The vapor passage is constructed to prevent the evaporated fuel trapped by the polymer absorbent from flowing into the charcoal chamber, and also to prevent the liquid fuel from being absorbed by the charcoal.

  • Patent number: 5199207
Abstract: A reel leg fixing apparatus for a fishing rod provided with two reel leg fixing sections between which the reel leg is inserted and fixed. One is fixed at the back side between the other is movably placed at the front side both of a reel leg mounting plane. The latter consists of two grasping sections over interior surface of which female screws are formed. These are screwed around individual male screws formed over the exterior surface of a reel leg mounting section of the fishing rod proper. At least one of the grasping sections is fixedly covered with a flexible member. Due to the double-nut effect, non-exposed screw composition and the flexible member, the reel leg can be fixed reliably and stably and the fishing rod can be grasped and held strongly or continuously for long time.

  • Patent number: 5088816
Abstract: A cell analyzing system flows a liquid to be tested and a sheath liquid through a flattened flow passage. An image of the flattened flow passage is formed at two different magnifications. The thickness of the liquid to be tested in the flattened flow passage is changed between the two different magnifications to maintain this thickness at a value smaller than a depth of field of the apparatus forming the image. The thickness of the liquid to be tested is changed by changing its flow relationship to the sheath liquid.

  • Patent number: 4823103
Abstract: To manufacture an electronic component of the present invention and according to a method of manufacturing the electronic component also of the invention, steps of positioning and temporarily fixing the electronic component element are performed by the use of a bent portion formed on the lead wire, the bent portion of the lead wire being pressed into the through hole of the electronic component element. Thereafter, the bonding agent, which was applied to the bent portion, is filled into the through hole of the electronic component element by capillarity. Alternatively, the bonding agent may be injected into the through hole after the lead wire is inserted. Thus, the bonding agent is filled in a shorter time.
