  • Patent number: 5411398
Abstract: A magnetic display system uses a display wherein a non-magnetic substrate has applied thereon a microcapsule coating layer having sealed light-absorptive magnetic particles and light-reflective non-magnetic particles which are dispersed in an oily liquid. A permanent magnet causes a shift of the light-absorptive magnetic particles in one direction and, as a result, causing a shift of the light-reflective non-magnetic particles in the other direction. In the microcapsule coating layer, microcapsules having a plurality of diameters within a range from 100 microns to 1,000 microns are combined together. Furthermore, the light-absorptive magnetic particles sealed in the microcapsules have a plurality of particle diameters ranging from 0.2 microns to several icons. A suitable amount of magnetic particles capable of becoming a permanent magnet when magnetized after the microcapsule coating layer is coated is added.

  • Patent number: 5396308
Abstract: There is provided an improved rack for feeding photosensitive materials, which is so adapted that an operator can turn its feed rollers without soiling his hand. A vertically-extending roller driving shaft is rotatably provided outside of a rack body. A sprocket carries a bevel gear which is coaxial with the sprocket and meshes with a bevel gear fixed to the top end of the roller driving shaft. The bevel gear mounted on the sprocket has a cylindrical member. Outside of the cylindrical member is provided a knob. A spring is mounted to bias the knob away from the sprocket. The knob has a control sleeve which can be moved to a position where it surrounds the sprocket. After moving the control sleeve to this position, the knob is turned by hand to turn the roller driving shaft.

  • Patent number: 5057363
Abstract: A magnetic display system which comprises a display having a non-magnetic substrate and a microcapsule coating layer provided on the substrate, with sealed magnetic particles having an excellently light-absorptive surface characteristic and also sealed non-magnetic particles having an excellent light-reflective characteristic. Both the magnetic and non-magnetic particles are dispersed or dissolved in an oily liquid in the microcapsules. A magnetic device for reversing the position of the light-absorptive magnetic particles and light-reflective non-magnetic particles in the microcapsules is provided. The magnetic device causes a local shift by attraction of the light-absorptive magnetic particles in the microcapsule coating layer of the display to the front side thereof to thereby invert the position of the light-reflective non-magnetic particles in the corresponding areas, thereby forming characters or images.

  • Patent number: 4560900
Abstract: A cathode ray tube device which comprises an electromagnetic shielding casing, a cathode ray tube held in said casing, an elastic material provided between the casing and cathode ray tube in contact therewith, and a space or porous material formed in part of a region defined between the casing and elastic material, and wherein said space or porous material suppresses the axial shifting of the cathode ray tube resulting from the thermal expansion of the elastic material when it is highly heated.

  • Patent number: 4510062
Abstract: A refrigeration oil composition comprising at least one oil selected from the group consisting of mineral oils and synthetic oils, said oil having a viscosity of from 1 to 500 cSt at 40.degree. C.; and a mercaptan of the formula RSH, wherein R is an alkyl group having 14 to 20 carbon atoms, said mercaptan being in an amount of from 5 to 5000 ppm, based on said oil composition, said refrigeration oil has excellent lubrication characteristics and is therefore effective to prevent seizure of sliding portions of the refrigerator mechanism and at the same time inhibits the occurrence of valve coking. It is also stable even in a refrigerant such as Freon and is therefore free from causing corrosion of the sliding portions of the refrigerator.
