  • Publication number: 20180122242
Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus activates a safety device for avoiding a collision of an own vehicle with a target or reducing damage caused by the collision. The vehicle control apparatus sets an activation condition for the safety device. The vehicle control apparatus determines whether each of a plurality of correction conditions for the activation condition is satisfied. The vehicle control apparatus determines whether to activate the safety device on the basis of the activation condition. The vehicle control apparatus sets the activation condition by correcting a reference condition on the basis of a correction value for a satisfied correction condition, and correcting the corrected reference condition on the basis of a correction value (destination correction value) for each destination.

  • Publication number: 20180118204
Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus is provided which includes position detecting means for detecting a position of a detected target using reflection information derived from a radar device 21, first determining means for determining whether the detected target is expected to be an obstacle not based on an intensity of a received reflected wave contained in the reflection information, and second determining means for determining whether an obstacle exists at the position, as detected by the position detecting means, or not using the image information. When the second determining means determines that the obstacle exists, and when a distance between an own vehicle and the detected target is smaller than a given threshold value, the detected target is determined as a target with which collision should be avoided regardless of a result of determination made by the first determining means.

  • Publication number: 20180096088
Abstract: In a capacitor equivalent circuit model for when a DC voltage is superimposed on a signal, using an equivalent circuit for when the DC voltage is not applied as a baseline, a voltage-controlled current source or voltage source that adjusts the signal in accordance with the superimposed DC voltage is substituted with a portion that represents the capacitance of the equivalent circuit. The voltage-controlled current source or voltage source is then modeled using a current or voltage approximation formula that describes the change in the signal resulting from the changes in the characteristics of the capacitor due to superimposition of the DC voltage, and a device that represents the capacitance of the equivalent circuit behaves similar to a variable device due to superimposition of the DC voltage. This approximation formula reduces computational load on a simulator and prevents issues such as divergence.

  • Publication number: 20180079408
Abstract: An object detection apparatus acquires a lateral position which is a relative position of a target to the own vehicle, and determines that a first target is present, as the target, ahead of the own vehicle and that a second target is present between the first target and the own vehicle. The object detection apparatus determines, based on the lateral position of the first target and a limiting value which indicates a width in the lateral direction, whether the first target is present on a traveling course of the own vehicle. The object detection apparatus sets the limiting value such that when the second target is not present, sets as the limiting value, a predetermined reference value, and when the second target is present, sets as the limiting value, a value different from the reference value.

  • Patent number: 9562546
Abstract: In a hydraulic control circuit including a solenoid valve, whose change responsiveness in an actual pressure with respect to a change in an instructional pressure deteriorates when the instructional pressure enters a dead band region on a lower pressure side than a dead band threshold, for adjusting a hydraulic pressure supplied to a hydraulic device operated by the hydraulic pressure based on the instructional pressure, the instructional pressure is increased in a stepwise manner to a charge pressure higher than the dead band threshold, when the instructional pressure is set in the dead band region and the instructional pressure increases within the dead band region to such an extent that a speed ratio does not change. Then, a lower limit of the instructional pressure is set to the dead band threshold, and use of the dead band region is prohibited for a certain period of time.

  • Patent number: 9413570
Abstract: Frequency comparison means compares the levels of uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) frequencies which are designated by frequency designation means. When it is determined that the UL frequency is lower than the DL frequency, heterodyne switching means enables a receiving unit to perform frequency conversion using a lower-side heterodyne system and signal processing is performed, using one baseband signal and the other baseband signal obtained by a quadrature demodulation process as an in-phase component and a quadrature component, respectively. When it is determined that the UL frequency is higher than the DL frequency, the heterodyne switching means enables the receiving unit to perform the frequency conversion using an upper-side heterodyne system and signal processing is performed, using the one baseband signal and the other baseband signal obtained by the quadrature demodulation process as the quadrature component and the in-phase component, respectively.
