  • Patent number: 7612906
Abstract: There is provided a data output apparatus, data output method, program, and storage medium which preferably execute a printing process using print data input to the printing apparatus via an external storage device without decreasing the speed of the printing process while ensuring a security of classified information contained in the print data. Print data stored in a detachable external storage device such as a removable medium is input, and then the print data is developed to image data printable by the printing apparatus. The developed image data is printed out on a printing medium. Upon the development process of the print data to the image data, the development process is executed while switching the first mode to execute the development process using a storage area of the external storage device and the second mode to execute the development process using a storage area of the printing apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20090055012
Abstract: A printing system which is capable of performing square back processing and has a mechanism that makes it possible to prevent occurrence of a new trouble of inadvertently creating a saddle-stitched brochure defective in appearance and/or stackability, which is unexpected by an operator. A printing apparatus receives plural jobs including a saddle-stitch job for creating a saddle-stitched brochure of a predetermined kind. In the saddle-stitch job, saddle-stitch processing and square back processing are carried out. The square back processing is performed by a saddle-stitching machine. The saddle-stitching machine forms a flat surface on the back of a saddle-stitched brochure. • Publication number: 20070046973
Abstract: An image processing apparatus inputs print data from an external device, and analyzes the input print data. The image processing apparatus rasterizes the print data into first image data on the basis of the analysis result. The image processing apparatus receives status information representing the status of a printing apparatus, temporarily saves the first image data in a holding unit on the basis of the received status information and the analysis result, interrupts a transfer process for the first image data to the printing apparatus, starts the transfer process for second image data to the printing apparatus, and transfers, to the printing apparatus, setting information of the print data that corresponds to the first image data. The printing apparatus determines whether corresponding image data has been received within a predetermined period after reception of the setting information of the print data from the image processing apparatus.
