  • Patent number: 12038346
Abstract: According to examples, a system for measuring polarization dependent loss (PDL) for a device-under-test (DUT) may include a tunable laser, a polarization element and a power meter. The tunable laser may emit an optical signal to sweep across an optical band at a constant rate. The polarization element may scramble polarizations states of the optical signal emitted from the tunable laser. The power meter may take power measurements associated with the optical signal emitted from the tunable laser, wherein the power measurements from the power meter are used to determine a maximum insertion loss (IL) and a minimum insertion loss (IL) associated with the device-under-test (DUT). An average insertion loss (IL) and a polarization dependent loss (PDL) for the device-under-test (DUT) may be calculated based on the maximum insertion loss (IL) and the minimum insertion loss (IL) associated with the device-under-test (DUT).

  • Patent number: 12029985
Abstract: A method of changing a virtual world of a computer-implemented game based on real-world locations of players of the computer-implemented game is disclosed. A presence of a player of the computer-implemented game is detected at a physical location. A presence of an additional player of the computer-implemented game is detected at the physical location based on a communication received from the player of the computer-implemented game. An aspect of the virtual world of the computer-implemented game is changed based on the detecting of the presence of the player at the physical location and the detecting of the presence of the additional player of the computer-implemented game at the physical location.

  • Publication number: 20240218082
Abstract: Provided herein are novel anti-CD28 x anti-PSMA antibodies and methods of using such antibodies for the treatment of PSMA-associated cancers. Subject anti-CD28 x anti-PSMA antibodies are capable of agonistically binding to CD28 costimulatory molecules on T cells and PSMA on tumor cells. Thus, such antibodies selectively enhance anti-tumor activity at tumor sites while minimizing peripheral toxicity. The subject antibodies provided herein are particularly useful in combination with other anti-cancer therapies (e.g., anti-CD3 x anti-PSMA antibodies) for the treatment of prostate cancers.

  • Publication number: 20240198474
Abstract: A motorised measurement arm apparatus for a machine tool includes a base for attachment to the machine tool and an arm member extending from the base for holding one or more sensors. The arm member is moveable relative to the base between a stowed position and an operative position, the operative position being defined by engagement of a mechanical stop arrangement. The apparatus also has a motor for moving the arm member relative to the base and a motor controller for energising the motor to move the arm member relative to the base. The motor controller is configured to energise the motor when the arm member is in the operative position to maintain engagement of the mechanical stop arrangement. An operative position having improved repeatability is thus obtained.

  • Publication number: 20240193196
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes training a document recommendation model using loss data generated from a linear score difference vector. A training data entry is provided including a query and a set of candidate documents. A document recommendation model generates a set of document prediction scores indicative of a likelihood that the candidate documents are responses to the query and a pairwise score difference matrix is generated using the set of document prediction scores. The pairwise score difference matrix is transformed into a score difference vector using a correct document vector that indicates a correct document among the set of candidate documents. Loss data of the document recommendation model is generated using the score difference vector and the document recommendation model is adjusted using the calculated loss data. Training the document recommendation model based on the linear score difference vector reduces resource usage when compared to training with a difference matrix.

  • Publication number: 20240087201
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to creating interactive avatars that can be pinned as world-locked artificial reality content. Once pinned, an avatar can interact with the environment according to contextual queues and rules, without active control by the avatar owner. An interactive avatar system can configure the avatar with action rules, visual elements, and settings based on user selections. Once an avatar is configured and pinned to a location by an avatar owner, when other XR devices are at that location, a central system can provide the avatar (with its configurations) to the other XR device. This allows a user of that other XR device to discover and interact with the avatar according to the configurations established by the avatar owner.

  • Patent number: 11911685
Abstract: A skateboard deck that is both stiff in one dimension and flexible in another dimension is disclosed. The deck includes an elongated body characterized by a longitudinal axis, a plurality of ribs, and a plurality of apertures. The plurality of ribs are long, narrow beams oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and integral with the bottom of the elongated body. The plurality of apertures are distributed in a plurality of rows also oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. The ribs and rows of apertures are interposed in an alternating pattern across the width of the deck. The resulting deck is stiff in the longitudinal direction yet flexible with respect to rotation about the longitudinal axis. The deck is therefore flexible enough to enable the front and rear trucks to rotate with respect to one another while still being rigid enough to withstand the weight of the rider.

The method comprises applying a first tonemapping function having a first tonemapping strength to the first pre-tonemapped intensity values to generate first tonemapped intensity values. The method comprises receiving second pre-tonemapped intensity values of a second image captured by the image sensor, the second image captured subsequent to the first image. The method comprises, based on a difference between the first tonemapped intensity values and a target for the first tonemapped intensity values, determining a second tonemapping function having a second tonemapping strength.
