  • Patent number: 11306489
Abstract: Electronic trowels, systems and methods of applying a layer of material using the present electronic trowels. The various electronic trowels include a handle, at least one blade, and one or more sensors residing on or within the trowel. The trowel is for applying a layer of material over a surface area, whereby the one or more sensors detect and collect material installation data during application of the layer of material over the surface area. One or more electronic devices coupled to the one or more sensors receive and analyze the collected installation data for monitoring and controlling the application of the layer of material to ensure a desired end product is achieved. Application errors may be detected before, during, or after the installation process.

  • Publication number: 20220111268
Abstract: Clubheads for iron-type golf clubs include a damper positioned within a lower cavity and a weight coupled to the damper and positioned within the lower cavity, wherein the weight is spaced apart from the club head body, or “floating.” The floating weight can be fully supported by the damper and while not contacting any surface of the club head body. Such a floating weight and damper can beneficially affect mass properties of the clubhead, such as Zup, CG, and MOI, without unduly stiffening lower portions of the clubhead, thereby allowing the clubhead to have improved mass properties while maintaining desirable ball-striking properties, such as COR and CT, and also providing damping to improve sound and feel. Some clubheads can also include a dual undercut topline to reduce mass. Some clubheads can also include several raised flats on the rear of the face for improved face thickness measurements.

  • Patent number: 11302053
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for determining image handle locations. An image is provided to a neural network as input, and the neural network translates the input image to an output image that includes clusters of pixels against a background that have intensities greater than an intensity of the background and that indicate candidate handle locations. Intensities of clusters of pixels in an output image are compared to a threshold intensity level to determine a set of the clusters of pixels satisfying an intensity constraint. The threshold intensity level can be user-selectable, so that a user can control a density of handles. A handle location for each cluster of the set of clusters is determined from a centroid of each cluster. Handle locations include a coordinate for the handle location and an attribute classifying a degree of freedom for a handle at the handle location.

  • Publication number: 20220106589
Abstract: Disclosed systems and methods relate to predicting the relative representation of genomic variants in an edited cell population, based on the editing cassette design representation in an editing cassette design library used to generate the edited cell population. A library of editing cassette designs is generated, and a feature vector, or sequence embedding, is developed for each design using natural language processing techniques. The feature vector may be based upon sequence attributes and editing kinetics of each cassette design as well as attributes that describe the library context. Features may include sequence embeddings generated from a neural network, linguistic-type distances, and statistical distance summaries thereof. The feature vectors are classified using one or more machine learning models, and the classified feature vectors are used to predict the representation of each design an edited cell population.

  • Publication number: 20220109372
Abstract: A memory system having a non-volatile memory and a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) that has a voltage regulator to apply a voltage on the non-volatile memory during normal operations. During a shutdown process, the PMIC has a bleeder that is activated to reduce the voltage applied on the non-volatile memory to a level that is below a programmable threshold, before allowing the memory system to restart again. During the bleeding operation, a comparator of the PMIC compares the voltage applied to the non-volatile memory and the threshold to determine whether the shutdown process can be terminated for a restart.

  • Patent number: 11292212
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs stored on a computer-readable storage medium, for performing hybrid additive manufacturing. In some implementations, a hybrid additive manufacturing system causes a three-dimensional printer to print a sheet of material that includes printed features on one side of the sheet, each printed feature having a structural characteristic that is different from structural characteristics of a majority of the sheet. The system causes a molding machine to form the sheet using a mold, where at least one printed feature corresponds with an area of the mold at which the sheet deforms while being formed.

  • Patent number: 11292790
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to employing an aggregation of participant sensor coverage areas to determine if there are missing coverage areas or unwanted overlapping coverage areas. If there are missing coverage areas, then at least one participant is instructed to modify its sensor coverage area to at least partially cover the missing coverage area. Conversely, if at least one participant has a sensor that is providing unwanted overlap of other sensor coverage areas, then that participant may be instructed to stop using that sensor, utilize that sensor for other data transmission purposes, or modify the coverage area to be non- or less-overlapping.

  • Publication number: 20220078965
Abstract: Materials and methods are disclosed for conglomerating low-purity small seeds, clay-binder, and aeration media into a particle. Through this process a low purity seed does not inhibit seed flow through planting equipment because the seed and associated non-seed parts are formed into particles that have vastly improved flow and aerodynamic properties over untreated seed.
