  • Patent number: 11601542
Abstract: A crash detection system for a vehicle comprises first and second batteries and a computational system comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium. First and second antennas are both in electronic communication with the computational system and powered by one of the batteries, with the antennas configured to independently wirelessly communicate with an external network. A microphone powered by one of the batteries and in electronic communication with the computational system. The microphone continuously receives sound waves in real time and transmits sound signals to the processor. The processor monitors properties of the sound waves within the sound signals, compares the properties to thresholds stored in the non-transitory computer-readable medium, determines if the vehicle has been involved in a collision if at least one of the properties crosses the respective threshold, and communicates with the external network to report the collision with one of the antennas.

  • Patent number: 11597510
Abstract: A ducted fan assembly includes a duct having an inlet, an inner surface, an expanding diffuser and an outlet. A fan disposed within the duct between the inlet and the expanding diffuser is configured to rotate about a fan axis to generate airflow. An active flow control system includes a plurality of injection zones circumferentially distributed about the inner surface. The expanding diffuser has a diffuser angle configured to create flow separation when the airflow is uninfluenced by the active flow control system such that the airflow has a thrust vector with a first direction that is substantially parallel to the fan axis. Injection of pressurized air from one of the injection zones asymmetrically reduces the flow separation between the airflow and the expanding diffuser downstream of that injection zone such that the thrust vector of the airflow has a second direction that is not parallel to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 11563756
Abstract: A distributed security system can include instances of a compute engine that can execute either locally in security agents on client devices or as cloud instances in a security network. Event data can be processed by elements of the distributed security system according to centrally-defined ontological definitions and/or configurations. Bounding managers of local security agents can control how much event data is sent to the security network. A storage engine in the security network can store event data received from client devices, can route event data to other elements of the security network, including cloud instances of the compute engine. An experimentation engine of the security network can also at least temporarily adjust other elements of the distributed security system during experiments or tests.

  • Patent number: 11550901
Abstract: A process for detecting a threat for a file system is described. Audit events in the file system may be accessed, which may include unique file operations and duplicative file operations. The audit events may be de-duplicated to remove the duplicative file operations. Time series data may be generated that includes the unique file operations but not the duplicative file operations, and the time series data may be analyzed to determine whether a subset of the unique file operations includes file-access instructions. An observed pattern of the file-access instructions may be compared to a normal pattern of file-access instructions to determine whether the observed file-access instructions are abnormal. If the observed file-access instructions are abnormal, an alert may be generated.
