  • Publication number: 20150278506
Abstract: Pairing data associated with a second device may be received at a first device. The pairing data may be received from a server. A first authentication proof may be generated based on the pairing data received from the server. A second authentication proof may be received from the second device. Furthermore, an authentication status of the second device may be updated based on a comparison of the first authentication proof that is based on the pairing data received from the server and the second authentication proof that is received from the second device.

  • Patent number: 9139261
Abstract: The present invention has been developed to improve the way a payload support platform, such as a mole, is driven between one site and another, particularly when the second site is the interior of a Lift which interfaces with a Pallet Handling System (PHS) of a ship. In a first aspect the invention proposes that the driving means which drives the payload support platform along a rail (10) is also used to move that rail (10) relative to the payload support platform and a support rail (22) so that the position of the rail can be changed during the movement of the payload support platform between one site and another. The payload support platform is lockable to the support rail (22), such that the force which drives the payload support platform along the rail (10) changes to driving the rail (10) relative to the support rail (22).

  • Publication number: 20150083063
Abstract: A valve train of an internal combustion engine with a switchable hydraulic lash adjuster (SHLA) is provided, including a cylinder head having a boss, with an opening defined in the boss. The SHLA is located in the opening, and the SHLA includes: an outer housing having an inner bore, an inner housing movably located in the inner bore of the outer housing, and including a spring retainer at an outer end thereof, and a plunger assembly with a hydraulic lash adjuster mechanism movably located in a bore of the inner housing. A lost motion spring is located between the spring retainer and a spring seat located around the boss. This arrangement reduces the overall packaging length of the SHLA in that only a fraction of the lost motion spring's installed height has an influence on the overall length of the SHLA.

  • Publication number: 20120262472
Abstract: An approach for visualization of time series data. The approach for conveying time-series data may be a “heatmap timeline”. Rather than use a spatial dimension indicate a datum value for each timestamp, the heatmap timeline may employ hue, saturation, or value of color, and/or pattern and/or shading, perhaps shown within a geometric shape, to indicate the datum value along a timeline. Data values may be aggregated into one value indication. A tooltip may be pointed to a specific place on of the heatmap timeline to obtain a precise datum value at that place. More than one heatmap timeline may be on a display. Traditional line plots synchronized to the timeline may be added to the same display for comparison purposes. The heatmap timelines of various items within a hierarchical structure may be presented on a display. Data may also be presented in a mosaic fashion.
