  • Patent number: 9899186
Abstract: A charged-particle beam microscope is provided for imaging a sample. The microscope has a vacuum chamber to maintain a low-pressure environment. A stage is provided to hold a sample in the vacuum chamber. The microscope has a compact evaporator in the vacuum chamber to evaporate and deposit a coating onto a surface of the sample. The microscope also has a charged-particle beam column is provided to direct a charged-particle beam onto the coating on the surface of the sample. The charged-particle beam column includes a charged-particle beam source to generate a charged-particle beam and charged-particle beam optics to converge the charged-particle beam onto the sample. A detector is provided to detect charged-particle radiation emanating from the coating on the surface of the sample to generate an image. A controller analyzes the detected charged-particle radiation to generate an image of the sample.

  • Publication number: 20180032737
Abstract: An application analysis platform enables automatic generation of abstract program representations (APRs) that are amenable to static analyses for finding security vulnerabilities. The APR is generated automatically, preferably from an existing build system or a source repository, and then encapsulated into a binary archival format for consumption by a static analysis tool, which operates on-premises or in the cloud. The abstract program representation is a highly compact version of the actual source code it represents. The archival format obfuscates the source code that is subjected to the analysis, thus protecting it from being reverse-engineered when moved off-premises or otherwise shared with other users, teams and even organizations.

  • Publication number: 20180008470
Abstract: A system for treating a linear wound on a patient has a closing dressing bolster for placing on the patient's epidermis over the linear wound, a sealing subsystem for providing a seal over the closing dressing bolster and the patient, and a reduced-pressure subsystem for delivering reduced pressure to the sealing subsystem. The sealing subsystem and reduced pressure subsystem are operable to deliver reduced pressure to the closing dressing bolster. The closing dressing bolster is operable under reduced pressure to develop a inward closing. The closing dressing bolster may include one or more closing members on each side of a center wound area to create the inward closing when under reduced pressure. A compressive force may also be developed. Other systems and methods are presented.

  • Patent number: 9852051
Abstract: A computer system and computer program captures diagnostic trace information in a computer system having a plurality of software images. Information is received that is associated with a first failure in a first one of the plurality of software images. The received information is distributed to others of the plurality of software images. Further information is captured that is associated with a second failure in another one of the plurality of software images. The information associated with a first failure in a first one of said plurality of software images is combined with the information associated with a second failure in another of said plurality of software images, and the combined information is analyzed in order to determine a cause of the first failure.

  • Patent number: 9790834
Abstract: A method of monitoring for combustion anomalies in a gas turbomachine includes sensing an exhaust gas temperature at each of a plurality of temperature sensors arranged in an exhaust system of the gas turbomachine, comparing the exhaust gas temperature at each of the plurality of temperature sensors with a mean exhaust gas temperature, determining whether the exhaust gas temperature at one or more of the plurality of temperature sensors deviates from the mean exhaust temperature by a predetermined threshold value, and identifying an instantaneous combustion anomaly at one or more of the temperature sensors sensing a temperature deviating from the mean exhaust temperature by more than the predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 9722852
Abstract: A method is provided in one example and includes receiving media content including timed metadata, generating a common format asset including the timed metadata and a timed metadata index including at least one reference point corresponding to the common format asset. Each reference point includes state context information of the timed metadata at a particular instance of time. The method may further include receiving a request for the timed metadata from a particular client device, and retrieving a determined amount of the timed metadata from the common format asset using the timed metadata index. In a particular example, the determined amount of the timed metadata is an amount sufficient to display a current timed metadata context corresponding to the request.

  • Publication number: 20170196736
Abstract: A reduced-pressure system for treating tissue, such as damaged subcutaneous tissue, includes a shaped dressing bolster for placing on the patient's epidermis and substantially sized to overlay the damaged subcutaneous tissue. The system further includes a sealing subsystem for providing a fluid seal over the shaped dressing bolster and a portion of the patient's epidermis, and a reduced-pressure subsystem for delivering a reduced pressure to the sealing subsystem. The reduced-pressure system may develop a force, which may include a vertical force that is realized at tissue site deeper than the epidermis or a closing force directed towards the incision. The shaped dressing bolster is shaped to evenly distribute the force. Other methods and systems are included.

  • Publication number: 20170169010
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for interactively associating a semantic concept with a unique term that is input by a user. As the user is creating a document and/or once the user has completed a draft of the document, the document is parsed to identify unique terms (e.g., persons, places, things, services, etc.) in the document. When a unique term is identified, a query is generated to locate one or more semantic concepts (e.g., URLs, URNs, or other identifiers, for example) that are associated with the identified unique term and a notification indicative of the results is generated. From this notification, the user can select whether to associate the unique term with any and/or all of the located semantic concepts. In this way, supplemental content may be added to a document that the user is creating, for example.

  • Patent number: 9500563
Abstract: A system for detecting an at-fault combustor includes a sensor that is configured to sense combustion dynamics pressure data from the combustor and a computing device that is in electronic communication with the sensor and configured to receive the combustion dynamics pressure data from the sensor. The computing device is programmed to convert the combustion dynamics pressure data into a frequency spectrum, segment the frequency spectrum into a plurality of frequency intervals, extract a feature from the frequency spectrum, generate feature values for the feature within a corresponding frequency interval over a period of time, and to store the feature values to generate a historical database. The computing device is further programmed to execute a machine learning algorithm using the historical database of the feature values to train the computing device to recognize feature behavior that is indicative of an at-fault combustor.
