  • Publication number: 20190358372
Abstract: Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems, apparatuses, and methods for operating the systems and apparatuses are disclosed. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a negative pressure source, a connector port, at least one switch, and a controller. The negative pressure source is connected through the connector port to either (i) a wound dressing having a canister configured to store fluid aspirated from the wound or (ii) a wound dressing without a canister between the connector port and the wound dressing. The controller determines, based on a signal received from the at least one switch, whether the canister is positioned in the fluid flow path and adjusts one or more operational parameters of negative pressure wound therapy based on the determination. The switch is activated by the connection of either the canister or canisterless wound dressing to the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10364774
Abstract: A gaseous fuel introducer comprising a first mounting surface shaped and located to couple to a first wall of a charger; a first input, the first input being an air input; a second input, the second input being a gaseous fuel input; and a charge output. The charge output supplies a fuel-containing charge to an input of the charger. The introducer has a first mounting position that defines a first orientation of the second input relative to the charger. The introducer also has a second mounting position that defines a second orientation of the second input relative to the charger that is different than the first orientation.

  • Publication number: 20190224413
Abstract: An injection device comprising a housing (12) and a dose selector (16) to set a dose of medicament to be ejected from the injection device. A spring (20) coupled to the dose selector stores energy necessary for ejecting the dose from the injection device. A ratchet (25) arrangement is provided to rotationally couple a ratchet component and an internal surface of the housing in a coupled state and to allow relative rotation between the ratchet component and the internal surface of the housing in an uncoupled state. An over-torque feature (27) located between the dose selector and the spring is actuatable, when the rotation of the dose selector causes the charging force to exceed a defined limit, to reduce the charging force transferred from the dose selector to the spring. Both the ratchet component and the over-torque feature are provided on a single component (28).

  • Patent number: 10362299
Abstract: A system for providing a user of a virtual reality (VR) system with physical interactions with an object in the real world or in the surrounding physical space while they are concurrently interacting in the virtual world with a corresponding virtual object. The real world object is dynamic with the system including a physical interaction system that includes a robot with a manipulator for moving, positioning, and/or orienting the real world object so as to move it into contact with the user. For example, the physical object is moved into contact with a tracked body part of the user, such as a hand, a tracked contact surface on the user's body, and so on, at a time that is accurately synchronized with a time of an interaction event occurring in the virtual world being created by the VR system.

  • Publication number: 20190105893
Abstract: A decorator press for printing on metal cans has a pump unit, a distribution head, a sensing device and a processing circuit. The pump unit comprises a plurality of inlet ports, a first inlet port configured to receive an ink of a first color from a first ink source and a second inlet port configured to receive an ink of a second color darker than the first color. The distribution head is coupled to the pump unit and configured to spread fluid received from the pump unit across zones of a print roller. The sensing device is coupled to the press and configured to sense a characteristic of fluid flowing out of the distribution head. The processing circuit is configured to receive the sensed characteristic, compare the sensed characteristic to a predetermined threshold, and to provide an indication to a display based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10252230
Abstract: A tinting machine (1) comprising one or more dispenser heads for dispensing colorant into a paint container (3), the one or more dispenser heads comprising a fluid outlet (16) for discharging the colorant into the paint container (3), an internal chamber (19) opening in the fluid outlet, and a piston (25) that is longitudinally and movably arranged inside the internal chamber. An outer side surface of the piston and the inner surface of the internal chamber define an annular space (29) and the piston comprises a circumventional protrusion (26) defining a constriction (28) in the annular space. By supplying cleaning fluid to the internal chamber and moving the piston between a first and a second position, the internal chamber can be cleaned from residual colorant with a small amount of cleaning fluid. The invention further relates to a method for dispensing one or more colorants into a paint container using such tinting machine.

  • Publication number: 20180330724
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for optimizing the presentation of content through obtaining viewership metrics, generating multiple renditions of presentations of content, and selecting optimized renditions of content. One aspect includes associating a request for viewership metrics with a presentation of content, publishing the presentation of content, and receiving information of the viewership metrics associated with the presentation. Another aspect includes copying a presentation of a content item, creating a second presentation of the content item for publishing over one or more channels, and linking the presentation of the content item to the second presentation of the content item, such that a change to one propagates to the other of the presentation of the content item or the second presentation of the content item. In yet another aspect, a content rendition may be selected for presentation based on performance of the rendition out of multiple renditions in an auction.

  • Patent number: 9781231
Abstract: A formula-driven programming-environment is described, which may be used to provide an environment for applications to operate within a network node or other computing device. In one example, statements of a program may be interpreted to thereby execute formula-style commands within an address space defined and constrained in a memory device by the integrated development environment. The commands may obtain data, assign values to variables and access data from other node(s) by the interpretation of statements in the program and communicating over a network. The communicating may include queuing a message for transmission by the formula-driven programming-environment. The commands may provide named access or relative access to data in response to the interpretation of statements in the program. The commands may communicate with at least one application located on a remote computing device in response to the interpretation of statements in the program.

  • Publication number: 20150128213
Abstract: In a communications network, policies are applied to electronic mail messages by determining a plurality of routes for electronic mail messages, each route being defined by at least one sender and at least one recipient, and determining a policy to be applied to electronic mail messages on each route. At least one tag is associated with each of a plurality of servers in the communications network, and at least one of the tags is associated with each of the plurality of routes. Each of the plurality of servers identifies the or each route that is associated with a tag that is associated with the server, and then applies the respective policy to electronic mail messages on the or each identified route. This allows policy to be defined on the basis of the role of the server and the policy features that it supports.
