  • Patent number: 9191608
Abstract: A pausable system that processes multi-channel, multimedia content including a multimedia content delivery device having a priority detector for determining priority multimedia content and a decoder that can decode the priority content while the system is in a paused state. The system can also output an indicator if a priority multimedia content becomes disrupted based on a received rate compared to an embedded rate. The priority detector can also determine if the priority content is intended for a particular recipient before processing by the multimedia content delivery device.

  • Publication number: 20120279623
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a pneumatic off-road tire having an inner shoulder, an outer shoulder and a tread therebetween. The tread has a central axis and includes a plurality of generally curved first grooves. Each first groove has a first end disposed near the outer shoulder and a second end disposed near the inner shoulder so that each first groove crosses the central axis. The first end is spaced circumferentially from the second end. A plurality of second grooves, each connecting the second end of a first groove to a first end of another first groove, are included. The first and second grooves define a cascading repetition of tread blocks. Chamfers are defined on certain corners of the tread blocks that are adjacent to the first grooves and that expose a tread block wall following the chamfer, relative to a rotation of the tire, to an off-road contact surface.

  • Patent number: 8281829
Abstract: A pneumatic tire (10) has an inner shoulder (11), an outer shoulder (12) and a tread (13) therebetween. The tread has a central axis (A) and includes a plurality of first grooves (14). Each first groove has a first end (15) disposed near the outer shoulder and a second end (17) disposed near the inner shoulder so that each first groove crosses the central axis. The first end is spaced circumferentially from the second end. A plurality of second grooves (16) is provided with each second groove connecting the second end of a first groove to a first end of another first groove. The first and second grooves define a cascading repetition of tread blocks (18). Chamfers (20) are defined on certain corners of the tread blocks that are adjacent to the first grooves.

  • Patent number: 8261789
Abstract: A pneumatic tire (10) has an inner shoulder (11), an outer shoulder (12) and a tread (13) therebetween. The tread includes a plurality of circumferential grooves 30, 32, 34, 36 38) dividing the tread into a plurality of ribs including inner and outer shoulder ribs (14, 14?), inner and outer intermediate ribs (18, 18?) between the shoulder ribs and a central rib (16) between the intermediate ribs. First sipes (20) are provided in the shoulder ribs and the central rib. Each first sipe has an interlocking shape. Second sipes (22) are provided in the intermediate ribs. Each second sipe has a shape different from that of the first sipes. Third sipes (24) are provided in the intermediate ribs. Each third sipe has a shape different from that of the first and second sipes.

  • Publication number: 20080034397
Abstract: A television system (10) and method for channel searching are provided. A television (10) includes an off mode and a normal viewing mode. The television has a setup module (24) responsive to a trigger event. The setup module (24) automatically searches a channel listing from an input signal to provide channel assignments for the television system independently of user supervision. This is provided in such a way that an automatic channel search is performed when the television is in the off mode or is run in the background so that the user is unaware of the automatic channel search during viewing mode.

  • Publication number: 20070291122
Abstract: A terminal sharing arrangement allows output terminals of an apparatus such as a television signal receiver or other device to be used for both outputting signals such as audio signals, and providing a diagnostic function. According to an exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a first terminal operative to output a first output signal during a first mode, and to receive a first diagnostic signal during a second mode. A second terminal is operative to output a second output signal during the first mode, and to output a second diagnostic signal during the second mode.

  • Publication number: 20070146643
Abstract: A segmented display system in which the display devices are arranged in a N×1 array is described. The segmented display system includes a plurality of projection devices that each project a portion of an image on a corresponding one of the display devices in the N×1 array. Distortion at the seams between display devices in the N×1 array are minimized by aligning each projection device using a lens mounting based on the position of such projection device in the N×1 array.
