  • Publication number: 20150200775
Abstract: A method for determining a cyrptographic key for a MEMS device includes identifying physical properties for the device. A feature vector having a plurality of values is determined. Each of the values correspond to different physical properties. The cryptographic key is determined from the feature vector. The cryptographic key can be determined using a fuzzy extractor. The cryptographic key can be determined using different feature vectors corresponding to different channels in a device or different MEMS structures in the device.

  • Publication number: 20150017028
Abstract: A fan assembly includes a base, a body including an air inlet, impeller and motor driving the impeller to draw an air flow through the air inlet, an air outlet and an interior passage conveying air to the air outlet and extending about an opening through which air from outside the fan assembly is drawn by air emitted from the air outlet. A motorized oscillation mechanism housed within the base oscillates the body relative to the base about an axis and includes a second motor, a drive member driven by the second motor, and a driven member which is driven by the drive member to rotate relative to the base about the axis. The body is mounted on the driven member for rotation therewith. • Publication number: 20140366577
Abstract: The present invention is a field-deployable system for separating methane and natural gas liquids (NGLs) from a raw gas stream comprising a compressor; a dehydrator; a refrigerator having one or more stages; and a separation subsystem adapted to separate the raw gas stream into three product streams including a methane stream that is at least 80% methane, an ethane-rich stream, and a NGLs stream having a vapor pressure of no more than 250 psia at 38° C. The methane stream is sufficiently lean to be useable in existing natural gas engines without modification. The NGLs stream has a sufficiently low vapor pressure to be transportable in standard propane containers. The ethane-rich stream may be utilized within the system itself to power its own operations. The system can be utilized to reduce flaring from liquids-rich gas production sites to an absolute minimum, produce natural gas liquids for transport, and provide dry methane gas suitable for use in portable field generators.

  • Publication number: 20140301550
Abstract: A method for data transmission between a sensor and an electronic control and/or regulating unit (ECU), the transmitted sensor data (x1, . . . , xt) and the sensor being secured against a manipulation. The system provides a particularly simple, but very secure method for manipulation protection, the sensor data (x1, . . . , xt) being transmitted via a first logical data transmission channel at a first data transmission rate, and security data (MAC; CMAC) for securing the transmitted sensor data and/or the sensor being transmitted via a second logical data transmission channel at a second data transmission rate from the sensor to the ECU. At least once at the beginning of a data transmission session, a session key is transmitted from the ECU to the sensor via a third logical data transmission channel and received by the latter, the session key being used at least for the ongoing session to generate the security data.
