  • Publication number: 20220353090
Abstract: A medical treatment machine, such as a dialysis machine (e.g., a home dialysis machine, such as a home hemodialysis machine or a home peritoneal dialysis machine) can receive a digital prescription file that defines parameters of a medical treatment to be administered to a patient. The digital prescription file can be prepared and delivered in such a way that the medical treatment machine can confirm that the issuer (e.g., provider) of the digital prescription file is an authorized issuer without having any a priori knowledge of the particular issuer. The digital prescription file can be delivered irrespective of the inherent security (or lack thereof) of the transmission medium in a tamper-evident format using minimal resources necessary to verify the validity of the digital prescription file and its issuer. The digital prescription file may be delivered to the dialysis machine using a network cloud-based connected health system.

  • Publication number: 20220337999
Abstract: Provisioning multiple artificial reality devices can be accomplished through network communications between a device distributor, an administration system, a provisioning device, and the artificial reality devices. The device distributor can provide, to the administration system, a list of artificial reality devices corresponding to a particular organization. A provisioning device can sign into an account on the administration system and receive the list. The provisioning device can then scan for wireless connectivity with the listed artificial reality devices and can make a wireless connection with any artificial reality devices that respond and that are on the list. The provisioning device can then send these devices credentials for a local WiFi network. The artificial reality devices can automatically, upon receipt of the credentials, connect to the administration system to obtain the software update and/or the configuration data.

  • Patent number: 11413007
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring one or more properties of a soft material employ air transmitted ultrasound that is reflected from the soft material to generate a mechanical wave in the soft material. A method of measuring one or more properties of a soft material includes transmitting ultrasound through air to an interface boundary between the soft material and air. Force is applied to the soft material by reflecting the ultrasound from the soft material. A mechanical wave is generated in the soft material as a result of the force applied to the soft material. Propagation of the mechanical wave in the soft material is measured with an imaging system. One or more properties of the soft material is determined based on the measured propagation of the mechanical wave in the soft material.
