  • Patent number: 12051032
Abstract: A pre-staged or in-person provided order is received from a customer location. Order details are sent to a fulfillment terminal and items associated with the order are prepared or collected. The items are loaded into an autonomous device. The autonomous device plans a route from its current location to the customer location and the autonomous device navigates from its current location to the customer location using the route. The customer is verified at the autonomous device and a secure bin is unlocked by the autonomous device. The customer removes the items associated with the order from the unlocked secure bin, and the autonomous device navigates back to its original location within an enterprise.

  • Publication number: 20240248843
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for controlling cache allocations in a configurable combined private and shared cache in a processor-based system. The processor-based system is configured to receive a cache allocation request to allocate a line in a share cache structure, which may further include a client identification (ID). The cache allocation request and the client ID can be compared to a sub-non-uniform memory access (NUMA) (sub-NUMA) bit mask and a client allocation bit mask to generate a cache allocation vector. The sub-NUMA bit mask may have been programmed to indicate that processing cores associated with a sub-NUMA region are available, whereas processing cores associated with other sub-NUMA regions are not available, and the client allocation bit mask may have been programmed to indicate that processing cores are available.

  • Publication number: 20240238699
Abstract: Devices and methods associated with these devices for significantly improving the efficiency of an existing or new treatment unit having a granular media filter bed supported above an underdrain for removing impurities passing through the filter bed. The devices and methods are specifically designed to prevent clogging of the underdrain to improve the operation and efficiency of the treatment unit. The devices and methods are directed to providing trapping structures and methods that allow a washing fluid to pass through the trapping structures but traps impurities in the washing fluid that have the potential of partially or completely clogging the underdrain. Further, one or more sensors are provided to determine if the trapping structure is performing properly.

  • Patent number: 12041153
Abstract: Systems and methods for transporting data between two endpoints over an encoded channel are disclosed. Data transmission units (data units) from the source network are received at an encoding component logically located between the endpoints. These first data units are subdivided into second data units and are transmitted to the destination network over the transport network. Also transmitted are encoded or extra second data units that allow the original first data units to be recreated even if some of the second data units are lost. These encoded second data units may be merely copies of the second data units transmitted, parity second data units, or second data units which have been encoded using erasure correcting coding. At the receiving endpoint, the second data units are received and are used to recreate the original first data units.

  • Publication number: 20240223556
Abstract: A user makes a request from a requesting device for access to a secure operation associated with a network-based service. A first biometric authentication is processed for the request and at least one second scope-based authentication is processed for the request based on an analysis of a physical environment for the requesting device. A determination is made based on at least the first biometric authentication and the scope-based authentication whether the secure operation can be: processed on behalf of the user by the network-based service, not processed at all, or processed only if requested from a specific medium/channel associated with a specific device, which may or may not be the requesting device.

  • Publication number: 20240203533
Abstract: A user may select one or more potential common ancestors with a DNA match to view the target individual's relationship with them. The process may include identifying, from a first genealogical profile of the target individual. A first individual has a first linkage that connects the target individual towards the selected potential common ancestor. The process may also include identifying, from a second genealogical profile of the DNA match, a second individual who has a second linkage that connects the DNA match towards the selected potential common ancestor. The process may further include connecting the first linkage and the second linkage with the selected potential common ancestor by adding one or more individuals whose profiles are retrieved from other searchable genealogical profiles stored in the online system. With the nodes and connections available, the process may generate a map of visual connections between the target individual and the DNA match.

  • Patent number: 12012283
Abstract: A release logic system for releasing cartons into a fulfillment system is described. In an example implementation, a release logic engine may receive carton data representing a set of cartons and indicating picks for each the set of cartons. The release logic engine may determine a score for a carton of the set of cartons based on a location of a first pick of the carton in a pick-to-cart area of a fulfillment center. In some implementations, the release logic engine may assign the carton to a cart adapted to transport cartons based on the score determined for the carton, and may induct the carton into the fulfillment center for the first pick using the cart.

  • Patent number: 12006078
Abstract: A case loader is fed containers by a container conveyor. The containers then rest on a hinged ledge. When the number of containers required to fill the case is present in the loader, a first sensor is activated. The cases are conveyed to the loader below and beside the position of the containers. The cases are tipped up and, when in place, they activate the second sensor. When both sensors are activated, the containers drop and fall into a chute (directing the containers from the loading station and into the cases. When the containers have dropped, the ledge is reset to receive the next group of containers. The force of the containers tips the case back onto the conveyor and it is carried away. An optional device may assist in case tipping. An optional device may move case facing edge of each chute.

  • Patent number: 12007896
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for configuring combined private and shared cache levels in a processor-based system. The processor-based system includes a processor that includes a plurality of processing cores each including execution circuits which are coupled to respective cache(s) and a configurable combined private and shared cache, and which may receive instructions and data on which to perform operations from the cache(s) and the combined private and shared cache. A shared cache portion of each configurable combined private and shared cache can be treated as an independently-assignable portion of the overall shared cache, which is effectively the shared cache portions of all of the processing cores. Each independently-assignable portion of the overall shared cache can be associated with a particular client running on the processor as an example. This approach can provide greater granularity of cache partitioning of a shared cache between particular clients running on a processor.

  • Publication number: 20240186129
Abstract: A night vision system, a microchannel plate (MCP), and a planetary deposition system and methodology are provided for selectively depositing an electrode contact metal on one side of MCP channel openings. MCPs can be secured to a face of a platter that rotates about its central platter axis. The rotating platter can be tilted on a fixture surrounding an evaporative source of contact metal. A mask with a variable size mask opening is arranged between the rotating platter and the evaporative source. While the mask orbits around the evaporative source with the rotating platter, the mask does not rotate along its own axis as does the rotating platter. Depending on the opening of the non-rotating mask, and the tilt angle of the rotating platter, the respective circumferential distance around and the depth into the shaded first side of the channel opening is controlled.
