  • Publication number: 20240410180
Abstract: An adjustable grab railing is mounted to a vertical structure next to the steps. The mounting surface can be flat or a corner. The grab railing includes mounting brackets, an upper rail, a lower rail connected to the upper rail, and an adjustment rail. The mount ends of the upper rail and adjustment rail are selectively, pivotably mounted to mount tabs. A first locking fastener selectively secures each connection. The outer end of the adjustment rail telescopes with respect to the lower rail. A second locking fastener selectively locks the position of the adjustment rail with respect to the lower rail allowing the upper and lower railings to be locked at different angles with respect to the steps and the vertical mounting structure. The lower rail can pivot to be mounted to a horizontal surface.

  • Publication number: 20240346477
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for customizing the feedback provided to a user at a point-of-sale (POS) terminal upon completion of an electronic payment transaction. The feedback may include the content of one or more media files that may be customized by a user in response to different conditions being met, and which may be specified as part of a user profile. Additional or alternative feedback may be specified by an entity identified with the user's payment account, such as a bank or creditor, which may comprise additional or alternative media file(s) that may be identified in response to specific predetermined conditions being met upon the electronic payment transaction being initiated. The feedback may be sent to the POS terminal and/or to a different device based upon the type of electronic payment transaction and/or the capabilities of the POS terminal.

  • Patent number: 9784401
Abstract: Provided are articles useful for rapidly and easily stopping leaks of material contained in conduits, such as water pipes under pressure. Articles according to this disclosure include a band, a lock and a lever. The band is wrapped around the conduit or pipe, and the lever is configured to engage with an end of the band and the lock that rides on the band. Manually, pulling the remaining end of the band and then actuating the lever, or vice versa, cinches the band around the outer circumference of the conduit, effectively sealing the conduit wall and preventing the contents of the conduit from leaking into the ambient surroundings. Elements of the invention cooperate to permit easy removal of the articles for re-use.

  • Publication number: 20150211235
Abstract: A bracket assembly includes a mounting plate configured to attach to a railing support surface and a collar connected to the mounting plate. The collar includes three side walls configured to retain the baluster, an open side suitably sized to insertably receive an end of the baluster between the three side walls, and a protrusion formed on an outer surface of laterally opposed side walls of the three side walls. The disclosed bracket assembly further includes a clip removably connected to the collar. The clip includes a first clip side wall and laterally opposed clip side walls extending from the first clip side wall. The clip is connected to the collar such that the first clip side wall substantially covers the collar open side and the opposed clip side walls engage the protrusions on the collar.
