  • Patent number: 9456309
Abstract: A system or method is provided to estimate wait time at a line or a queue. In particular, the system may estimate the wait time at a line by detecting the presence of a user at the line via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication. In an embodiment, the system may detect when the user enters the line and when the user departs from the line via BLE beacons and may estimate the wait time at the line based on how long the user is in line. In an embodiment, a grid of multiple BLE beacons may be installed or provided at the location of the line to track the location and movement of a user. The system may determine the wait time for the line based on the location and the movement of the user.

  • Publication number: 20160225412
Abstract: According to various embodiments, a content marking command is received from a mobile device at a particular time. For example, a user selection of the content marking command may be received via a user interface displayed on the mobile device. The content marking command may indicate a user interest in a particular moment of an event viewed by the user. Moreover, the event viewed by the user and video content data corresponding to the event may be identified. Further, content marking data may be generated, whether content marking data indicates a particular portion of the identified video content data corresponding to the particular moment of the event.

  • Publication number: 20160188840
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for proper dispensing of items through proximity detected devices with users. A service provider may set up a wireless beacon next to a dispenser that provides one or more items to a user. The beacons may connect to a user's device and provide the dispenser with identification information for the user. Based on the connection and the identification information, the dispenser may access dispensing information for the user that informs the dispenser of a type, quantity, and amount of one or more items to provide the user. The dispensing instructions may further include time frames for providing the item(s) to the user and other security information required before providing the item(s) to the user. Once the dispensing information is accessed, the dispenser may then provide the user the item(s) in accordance with the dispensing information.

  • Publication number: 20160189324
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for parking guidance and parking services provided through wireless beacons. A location may include a nearby or attached parking structure having wireless beacons established throughout the parking structure, such as near an entrance and individual parking spaces of the parking structure. The beacons may provide communication services with a device for the user. When the user arrives at the parking structure, the user may be informed of available parking spaces, payments for parking services based on a loyal customer status, or other parking feature for the parking structure. The wireless beacons may monitor the parking structure and the individual parking spaces to determine a best space for the user. Moreover, once the user leaves the vehicle, the user may provide additional payment for parking time and utilize courier and locker services for purchased items through the wireless beacons.

  • Publication number: 20160171305
Abstract: Image data comprising an image of an environment is received from a mobile video device located at the environment. An image of a marker is extracted from the received image for use in identifying the location of the mobile video device. A location associated with the marker is extracted from a database and the extracted location is sent as the location of the mobile video device. Also received is a request for information about an item in the environment that is of interest to a user of the mobile video device. A location in the environment associated with the item of interest is identified, and the information indicating the location of the item is transmitted to the mobile device for display within an image of the environment on the mobile video device. The item of interest may be displayed as an augmented reality within an image of the environment.

  • Publication number: 20160142469
Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for transferring the state of a first device to a second device are disclosed. An instruction to transfer a state of a first device to a second device is received. In response, information related to the state of the first device is packaged into a file. A type of connection to be used to transfer the state of the device is determined based on the connections available to the first device and the second device. The file containing the information of the state of the first device is transferred to the second device using the connection type. The file, when processed by the second device, causes the second device to reproduce the state of the first device.

  • Publication number: 20150278830
Abstract: Systems and methods for person/group check-ins include a system provider device receiving from a first user device that is associated with a first user account a first check-in request to allow other user accounts to check-in to the first user account. The system provider device then receives from a second user device that is associated with a second user account a second check-in request to check-in to the first user account. The system provider device associates the first user account and the second user account in a database in response to receiving the second check-in request, and tracks an aggregate behavior associated with both the first user account and the second user account. The system provider device may then provide at least one alert that is based on the aggregate behavior.

  • Publication number: 20150242889
Abstract: There is provided systems and method for event purchase and upgrade options based on user parameters. A user may attend an event at a venue and have purchased admission for the event. Prior to attending the event, the user's actions throughout the day may be tracked, such as an amount of sleep the user had the previous night and/or a workload throughout a day. Additionally, information about the venue may be collected, such as weather parameters and available ticketing. Based on the parameters of the user and/or the expected parameters of the user at the venue, the user may be offered upgrades to the user's admission. Thus, the user may be able to sit in VIP seating if the user is tired or find a covered seating during warm weather. Moreover, items from merchants at the venue may be offered to the user based on the user's parameters.

  • Publication number: 20150242888
Abstract: A system can offer an enhanced event experience for users of the system by tracking the locations of the users during a purchased-access event such as a ticketed event and offering real time location-based upgrades to the users. The locations of users can be used to determine a demonstrated interest by the user for a particular location or product in the event venue and to offer upgrades tailored to that demonstrated interest. For example, a concert attendee with a ticket for a particular seat may be detected a location relatively far from the user's seat such as a location near a seat of a friend of the user. The system can detect the user's location, identify available seats near the user's location, and offer the user an upgrade to the identified available seats. Location-based upgrades can also be provided in airplanes, hotels, cruise ships, or other venues or events.

  • Publication number: 20150242911
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for facilitating group shopping using group check-in. A plurality of users may check in at a location such as a service provider location. The plurality of users may check in using beacons or social media. A system may determine a relationship between two or more of the plurality of users and identify a group that has checked in to the service location. Products, services, and/or targeted assistance guidelines may then be determined for each identified group. A group may be a family, a couple, a team, a club, or other group of people. The products and/or services may be targeted for each group based on market research and/or user information of members of the group. The system may facilitate group payment for items purchased by one or more members of the group.
