Abstract: Configuration of a mobile electronic device with remote control functionality for a target electronic device for which an original remote control is unavailable is achieved by automated identification of control data for the target device based on non-textual device identification data captured by the mobile electronic device. The device identification data can include a picture of the target device or part thereof captured by the mobile electronic device. The picture may be automatically processed to identify the target device based on device shape, or based on device-specific symbols carried on an exterior of the target device. The device identification data can include signal data captured at device, including a wireless tag code, or location-specific data indicative of device location in an establishment.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for transferring the state of a first device to a second device are disclosed. An instruction to transfer a state of a first device to a second device is received. In response, information related to the state of the first device is packaged into a file. A type of connection to be used to transfer the state of the device is determined based on the connections available to the first device and the second device. The file containing the information of the state of the first device is transferred to the second device using the connection type. The file, when processed by the second device, causes the second device to reproduce the state of the first device.

Abstract: A method and system provides an automated clothes shopping recommendation based on personal style information that defines one or more attributes of clothing articles and/or clothing styles preferred selected by a user, and based on measurement information that defines one or more physical user measurements. On-site direction assistance is provided to the user based on the measurement information through provision of an augmented reality display on a mobile electronic device.

Abstract: A system receives a preference of a user, wherein the preference relates to a product or service located in a first geographic location, and then the system receives an identification of a second geographic location. The system analyzes, based on the preference of the user, a database to identify candidate products or services in the second geographic location. The system then determines, from the candidate products or services, an equivalent product or service at least in part by comparison of the candidate products or services to the preference of the user. The system transmits to the user an identification of the equivalent product or service located in the second geographic location.

Abstract: A method and system creates on a portable electronic device a real-time graphical view of an in-store product display that pinpoints the location of one or more target products on the product display. The graphical view is generated by capturing image data, such as a video feed of the in-store product display, and processing the data to initiate the one or more target products based on predefined product recognition criteria uniquely associated with the respective target products.

Abstract: One example embodiment relates to a method that comprises receiving, via a first portable electronic device, contextual information and a geolocation relating to a first user in a network-based system; receiving, via second portable electronic device, contextual information and a geolocation relating to a second user in the network-based system; identifying a common element in the received contextual information relating to the first user, and the received contextual information relating to the second user; and in response to an identification of the common element, defining a boundary for a geofence based on the geolocation of the first or second users.

Moreover, the event viewed by the user and video content data corresponding to the event may be identified. Further, content marking data may be generated, whether content marking data indicates a particular portion of the identified video content data corresponding to the particular moment of the event.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for facilitating payment for products purchased at events. More particularly, a ticket, rather than cash or credit cards, can be used to purchase products at events. For example, ticket holder can purchase food and drinks at a merchant's concession using the ticket or the ticket holder can purchase souvenirs at a gift shop associated with the event using the ticket. A bar code or the like can be scanned by the merchant and communicated to a payment provider to facilitate the transaction. The purchase can be made anonymously, such that information regarding the user cannot be obtained by merchant and/or sold for use by marketing companies.

Abstract: Computing systems and methods for facilitating the review and purchase of tickets for ticketed events include memory devices or storage components that store event information regarding upcoming ticketed events and venue information for seating arrangements and views from seats, as well as one or more processors for conducting activities regarding the review and purchase of tickets using a three-dimensional interactive seat map. Using one or more processors, an analysis is performed to determine one or more entities associated with the selected area. Content related to the determined one or more entities are retrieved from a database. The database may comprise a database of current content that is continually updated. The retrieved content is displayed in association with the selected area of the image. Further refinement of the retrieved content may be performed and a transaction based on the retrieved content may be concluded.
