  • Publication number: 20220195550
Abstract: An example track shoe, cutting edge, or other component of a machine is formed in a heated process, such as hot-rolling followed by air-hardening. The air-hardening process involves cooling the component by flowing air over the component (e.g., air cooling), such that the component is cooled at a controlled rate. During the air-cooling process, such as in the range of about 250° C. to about 1100° C., the component may be machined, such as by shearing, punching, drilling, etc. The machining may form the final shape of the component. As the air-hardening process is completed, and the component approaches room temperature, the component may have at least 5% bainitic crystal composition, and as high as greater than 80% bainitic crystal composition, resulting in relatively high hardness and fracture toughness. The final track shoe may have a hardness between about 40 HRC and 55 HRC.

  • Publication number: 20220186194
Abstract: Methods of purifying adenovirus that can be performed on a large scale. The methods purify adenovirus from an adenovirus-containing sample comprising or derived from a host cell population by clarifying the sample, wherein clarification comprises depth filtration followed by microfiltration; processing the clarified sample by anion exchange chromatography; and processing the anion exchange product by tangential flow filtration (TFF) to provide a TFF product.

  • Publication number: 20220185137
Abstract: A controller of a host system executes a method for detecting an external AC electrical device. While an AC charging inlet of the host system is electrically connected to the device via different vehicle-to-live (V2L) and jump-charge connections, the controller detects a control pilot voltage and a proximity voltage. When the control pilot voltage is 0V, the controller determines whether entry conditions are satisfied indicative of a desire to offload power from the host system to the device. When the entry conditions are satisfied, the proximity or control pilot voltage are modulated to generate a modulated voltage signal, which the controller compares to an expected voltage indicative of the device. Power is offloaded to the device when the modulated voltage signal matches the expected voltage.

  • Publication number: 20220122330
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and other techniques for placing and rendering virtual objects in three-dimensional environments. The techniques include providing, by a device, a view of an environment of a first user. A first computing system associated with the first user receives an instruction to display, within the view of the environment of the first user, a virtual marker at a specified position of the environment of the first user, the specified position derived from a second user's interaction with a three-dimensional (3D) model of at least a portion of the environment of the first user. The device displays, within the view of the environment of the first user, the virtual marker at the specified position of the environment of the first user.

  • Patent number: 11306573
Abstract: A frac tree coupled to a wellhead is connected to either flowback equipment or zipper modules using a single straight-line connection of pipes, valves, and/or frac iron that define a straight-line pathway for fluid, gas, or flowback materials. The disclosed single straight-line connections referenced herein may be used in pressure pumping operations to deliver hydraulic fracturing fluid (“frack fluid”) to a frac tree for delivery to a wellhead or for carrying flowback from the wellhead to a flowback-collecting equipment. Using the single straight-line connections referenced herein dramatically reduces the complexity of connections needed to deliver frack fluid to or carry flowback away from a well, thereby reducing the cost, improving the efficiency, and increasing the safety of pressure-pumping and flowback operations.

  • Patent number: 11299614
Abstract: Maleate polyester polyols and coatings made from the polyols are disclosed. The polyester polyols comprise recurring units of (a) a digested thermoplastic polyester or an aromatic dicarboxylate source; (b) a diol; (c) 5 to 95 mole % of an ?,?-unsaturated monomer; and (d) 5 to 95 mole % of adipic acid, succinic acid, or a mixture thereof, where the mole % ranges for (c) and (d) are based on the combined molar amounts of (c) and (d). The polyols have hydroxyl numbers within the range of 25 to 450 mg KOH/g, an average of 0.5 to 2.5 reactive unsaturation sites per molecule, and a viscosity less than 1500 cP at 75° C. The polyols are thermally curable or energy-curable. Coatings made from the maleate polyester polyols are also described. Traditional coatings based on polyisocyanates and/or (meth)acrylates can be made, in some cases with improved properties and reduced reliance on the acrylate or isocyanate-based components.
