  • Publication number: 20170182922
Abstract: The application discloses integrated air suspension and platform lifting systems that utilize an existing air supply for lifting one or more platforms installed in a trailer or hauling vehicle. An apparatus for lifting a rear gate or platform of a trailer or a hauling vehicle is disclosed that includes an actuating mechanism operable to pivot the platform between a lowered position (e.g., where the end of the platform is in contact with the ground) and a range of raised positions (e.g., where the platform is raised to meet an elevated platform such as a loading dock). The lifting mechanisms for raising and lowering the platform(s) may utilize a pressurized gas supply from a compressor. In some embodiments, the lifting mechanism may be supplied with pressurized air from a compressor of a brake system of a tractor. In some embodiments a separate locking mechanism is provided to hold the platform in place after the lifting system has moved it into a desired position.

  • Publication number: 20170168489
Abstract: A computer system operates to determine a traction value for each of a plurality of regions of the road network. A region of the road network for which the traction value is unknown is identified. A vehicle is directed to operate over the region of the road network to obtain additional data that is indicative of a current traction value.

  • Patent number: 9680883
Abstract: Examples are disclosed for responding to voice commands within an existing telephony call between two or more end user communication devices mediated by an IP based communications server. The server is mediating a telephony call among the two or more end user communication devices where each end user communication device has its own communication link to the server. The server may detect a trigger event from one of the end user communication devices. Upon detecting the trigger event, the server may receive voice input over the communication link from the end user communication device that generated the trigger event. The received voice input may be parsed into one or more voice commands. The server may then cause the one or more voice commands to be executed. In other embodiments, much of the intelligence and processing may be carried out on the end user communication device directly.

  • Patent number: 9679404
Abstract: Techniques for an electronic montage system are described. An apparatus may comprise a logic device arranged to execute a montage application comprising a presentation component. The presentation component may be operative to detect when a display size or resolution has changed from one used for an original layout of a montage. The presentation component may reposition, or reflow, the tiles in the montage in the changed display in a way that preserves the spatial characteristics of the tiles to each other. An authoring component may reflow tiles automatically when a tile is deleted from a montage to minimize blank space between tiles. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20170116553
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein facilitate the use of the primary work queue within an information management application as a centralized access point for creating and viewing multiple types of new draft items such as a note, to-do, or message item. An information management application can receive a new item request through its user interface and initiate a new draft item in response to the new item request. A view of new draft item can then be surfaced in a primary work queue of the information management application. The item type of the new draft item may be different than other item types in the primary work queue.

  • Publication number: 20170063760
Abstract: Technologies are described for modification of conversation presentation for enhanced user experience. Parts of the conversation may be detected and analyzed for their properties such as who sent a message, who received, when, was anyone left out from or added to the conversation, etc. The extracted properties and analyzed information may then be used to reverse a chronological order of the conversation and present it using interactive features such as collapsing and expanding parts of the presented information, providing a summary, removing unnecessary content, and comparable features.

  • Publication number: 20170061129
Abstract: In representative embodiments, a system and method to calculate a security reliance score is illustrated. The security reliance score is calculated from an aggregation of property sub-scores. The property sub-scores are, in turn, based on scores for attributes that make up the properties. A learning model is employed to adjust scores over time based on collected information. Additionally, statistical sampling can adjust scores based on context, including geo-location context. Security reliance scores can be used to identify weaknesses that should be fixed in cryptographic material and/or configurations. The system can also make recommendations for changes that will have the biggest impact on security reliance scores. Additional uses are also identified.
