  • Publication number: 20090306283
Abstract: Monocomponent water-hardening adhesive/sealant compositions comprising mixtures of at least one silane-functional polyoxyalkylene prepolymer and at least one silane-functional polyolefin are described. These compositions may optionally comprise other nonpolar plasticizers, as well as catalysts, fillers, and adhesives. Such adhesive/sealant compositions exhibit outstanding adhesion to plastic substrates and to painted surfaces, whereby the adhesion is maintained even after storage in wet conditions.

  • Patent number: 7259209
Abstract: A mixture of at least two thermoplastic particles having reactive grups which when melted and mixed react to form a high molecular weight polymer. The blend of particles when molten is particularly useful in forming double insulating glass or plastic panels.

  • Publication number: 20070088110
Abstract: A two part adhesive/sealant composition is provided, wherein component A contains at least one silane-terminated prepolymer, at least one silane crosslinking catalyst, and at least one low molecular weight organofunctional silane and component B contains at least one silane-terminated prepolymer, water and at least one water-dissolving and/or water-adsorbing agent such as an organic or inorganic thickener. Such compositions are exceptionally insensitive to mixing and dosing errors in use and are useful for forming elastic bonds between substrates.

  • Publication number: 20030162882
Abstract: The invention relates to a reactive batch of thermoplastic polymer particles on the basis of poly-&agr;-olefins, elastomeric block copolymers and/or polyisobutylenes. Said batch is useful for producing insulating glass units consisting of two or several glass panes, casting resin panes, solar collectors or facade elements for edifices. The reactive batch contains a portion of batch particles which contain polymers with reactive groups selected from hydroxyl groups, amino groups, carboxyl groups, carboxylic acid anhydride groups. mercapto groups, hydrosilicon groups and/or hydrosilyl groups. Another portion of the batch particles contains polymers with reactive groups that are complementary thereto and are selected from isocyanate groups, epoxide groups, active olefinically unsaturated double bonds and/or water-producing substances. Said batch of reactive particles is homogenised only directly before the last use and, immediately afterwards, is applied to the substrate surfaces to be connected.

  • Patent number: 5825488
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determining analytical data concerning the inside of a scattering matrix, in particular of a biological sample. In a detection step detection measurements are carried out in which light is irradiated into the matrix as primary light at an irradiation site (12) through an interface bounding the scattering matrix (6) and light emerging out of the scattering matrix through the interface is detected as secondary light at a detection site (13) at a predetermined measuring distance from the irradiation site, in order to determine as a measurement variable a measurable physical property of the light which varies due to the interaction of the light with the scattering matrix, which measurement variable is a measure of the analytical data to be determined. In an evaluation step the analytical data are determined on the basis of the measurement variable measured in the detection step.
