  • Patent number: 9777770
Abstract: An active part of an electrical machine includes teeth, each having a tooth base, a tooth height, open or closed grooves between the teeth, and windings introduced into the grooves. Each winding encloses at least one of the teeth. The active part has a thickness, starting from the outer surface of the respective tooth bases and extending along the teeth, that is greater than the tooth height. The active part, starting from the respective tooth base up to a limit depth, which is not more than equal the tooth height, has a first material with a first magnetic permeability and starting from the limit depth a second material with a second magnetic permeability. The first magnetic permeability is greater than the second magnetic permeability. The limit depth is essentially half as great as the tooth height.

  • Patent number: 9634539
Abstract: A radial magnetic bearing for magnetic bearing of a rotor has a stator which includes a magnetically conductive stator element, arranged circulating around a rotor. The stator element has recesses running in the axial direction of the stator element in which electrical lines from coils are arranged, wherein magnetic fields can be generated by the coils which hold the rotor suspended in an air gap arranged between the rotor and stator. A softer progression of the components of magnetic flow density in the radial direction is achieved by design measures on the transitions from one magnetic pole to the next magnetic pole, which results in a reduction of the eddy currents induced in the rotor.

  • Patent number: 8925317
Abstract: An exemplary turbocharger system for an internal combustion engine is provided. The turbocharger system includes a first turbine and a second turbine. The first turbine is in fluid communication with the internal combustion engine. The first turbine receives a first portion exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine and provides a first turbine exhaust gas. The second turbine is in fluid communication with the first turbine via an inter-stage channel. The inter-stage channel transports the first turbine exhaust gas from the first turbine to the second turbine. The inter-stage channel is in thermal connection with an exhaust gas recirculation channel defined between an inlet and an outlet of the internal combustion engine. The first turbine exhaust gas flowing through the inter-stage channel is capable of being heated by a second portion exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine and flowing through the exhaust gas recirculation channel.

  • Patent number: 8779381
Abstract: An aperture unit for a particle beam device, in particular an electron beam device, is disclosed. Deposit supporting units are arranged at the aperture unit, with which deposit supporting units contaminations can be bound in such a way that the contaminations can no longer deposit at an aperture opening of the aperture unit. Coatings which can be arranged on the aperture unit make it possible to reduce interactions which cause contaminations to deposit at the aperture opening.
