  • Publication number: 20070132232
Abstract: For connection of pipelines which are subject to vibration, for example pipelines in vehicle exhaust systems, a liquid-tight decoupling element is used which includes a, e.g. multi-layer wound, metal hose and a tube accommodated in coaxial relationship inside or outside of the metal hose. A first axial fitting firmly secures one end of the tube. The tube is sized to protrude into a second axial fitting, regardless whether the metal hose is completely compressed or completely stretched, to allow movement of the tube in axial and torsional directions in relation to the second axial fitting.

  • Publication number: 20060278291
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a pipe element (1) for pipes that are subject to vibrating stress, especially for exhaust pipes in motor vehicles. Said pipe element consists of a preprofiled strip (2; 3), especially a metal strip, that is wound in convolutions with bellow-shaped windings (4; 22). The wound layers produced by a strip width are interlinked in a single-hooked or multi-layer clasp-type bond (9; 19) by positive locking, welding or similar joining methods. The Strip (2; 3) is preprofiled with at least one stitch that is off-set from the plane by deflection into a kind of circuit with web heights (h1, h2) of the bellows (4; 22) that are multiples of the strip thickness.

  • Patent number: 7136719
Abstract: A method for stabilizing machine processes in which the machines are regulated by a machine regulation matrix selected from a plurality of machine regulation matrixes using a detected machine sensor value, set-point values of the machines being stored in each machine regulation matrix. A process is optimized according to a predefined criterion by also using some of the machine sensor values such that a machine regulation matrix which is optimal according to the process optimization is determined from the plurality of machine regulation matrixes and is subsequently used for regulating the machines.

  • Publication number: 20060213740
Abstract: The invention relates to a bilateral drive for rotating in the one or the other direction of drive a drive wheel which is linked with an adjusting device. Said drive comprises a drive lever which can be rotated about a drive axis, starting from an initial position, in the one or the other direction. Said lever is linked with a coupling element for expanding a spring element that is at least partially supported by the cylindrical drive surface of the drive wheel and that entrains the drive wheel in the peripheral direction when the drive lever is moved away from the initial position, while the spring element is no longer supported by the cylindrical drive surface of the drive wheel and the drive wheel is not entrained when the drive lever is returned to the initial position. The coupling element comprises expansion cams that can be tilted about an axis spaced apart from the drive axis.

  • Patent number: 7080235
Abstract: A method for controlling functional units in a processor, according to which in a configuration a sequence of primary instruction words which consists of several instruction word parts and originates from a translation of a program code is compressed and stored as a sequence of associated program words. The invention also relates to a processor system for carrying out this method. The aim of the invention is to increase operating speed in an application-specific manner while retaining a low program word width. To this end, as regards the method, a program word contains a first characteristic of a primary instruction word and instruction word parts which differentiate the primary instruction word belonging to the program word from the primary instruction word belonging to the characteristic.

  • Patent number: 7069418
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for instruction word generation in the controlling of functional units in a processor, the instruction words comprising a plurality of instruction word parts. In this case, in a program sequence, under the control of a program word, an instruction word is taken from a row—determined by a reading row number—of an instruction word memory that can be written to row by row, the said instruction word is altered by means of substitution of an instruction word part by the information part of the respective program word and is written back to a row of the instruction word memory, the said row being determined by a writing row number. Afterwards, an instruction word—which is generated in this way and is to be executed in accordance with the program—for controlling the functional units is output to the processor.

  • Publication number: 20050132307
Abstract: In order to improve the functionality of a computer-assisted design, test and/or development environment for a data processing circuit arrangement, the instructions of the circuit arrangement are stored in a machine-readable manner in a data base with the binary representations thereof. The allocation of a predefined binary representation (instruction code) to an instruction occurs in a modifiable manner. In this way, processors can be developed which are specialized and optimized in terms of processing specific software applications. The invention also relates to a computer-assisted design, test and/or circuit environment corresponding the above-mentioned method.

  • Publication number: 20050097531
Abstract: In order to minimize the time taken to compile a source code program into a machine-readable target object program in a network environment when the processor is also further developed at the same time as the program is being created, a method is proposed in which the compiler program continuously scans an input interface of the server (10) for a source code program newly written thereto, and a client program is started on a client (20-50), wherein the running of said program causes a source code program that is to be compiled to be written to the input interface of the server and causes an output interface of the server to be continuously scanned for a target object program newly written thereto. In response to the detection of a source code program newly written to the input interface of the server, the source code program is read and compiled into a target object program, which is subsequently written to the output interface of the server.

  • Patent number: 6618800
Abstract: A procedure and a processor arrangement for parallel data processing in which data are read out from a data memory and are conveyed via a communications unit to processing units for parallel processing. The data are divided into data groups with several elements and are stored in a group memory under a common address. To each data group, a processing unit is allocated, in that at least one element of a data group can be directly linked to the allocated processing unit, directly bypassing the communications unit. In a parallel fashion, a data group is read out from the data memory and is distributed over one or several processing units and is processed in a parallel fashion in the latter.

  • Publication number: 20030159127
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for generating instruction words to trigger functional units in a processor, where a sequence of data-stationary commands occurs, deriving from a sequence of primary instruction words. Here the primary instruction words consist of several instruction word parts. The instruction word parts are each intended to trigger one functional unit.

  • Publication number: 20030005264
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus to control data flow for a processing unit having a plurality of data paths and a plurality of parallel processing units. Each computer unit of a data path is connected to an evaluating unit, which controls the acceptance of the results into the results register by setting a flag. The output of the evaluating unit is connected to one input of a logic gate, and the other input of the logic gate to the control output of the central program control unit. The output of the logic gate is connected to the control input of the output register. In this way, each evaluating unit can check the calculation by comparing the result of computation by the parallel processing unit with a preassigned value. Upon identification of nonsense values, or upon coincidence with a preassigned value, the results register may be cleared or blocked to prevent wrong or nonsense results.
