  • Publication number: 20170105206
Abstract: Methods of operating a network node in a RAN may include transmitting control information for a subframe from the network node to a wireless terminal. The control information may include a Time Domain Split (TDS) indication defining a sub-subframe of the subframe, and a duration of the sub-subframe may be less than a duration of the subframe. Moreover, communication of data may be provided between the network node and the wireless terminal during the sub-subframe of the subframe. Methods of operating the wireless terminal may include receiving the control information for the subframe at the wireless terminal from the network node. The control information may include the TDS indication, and communication of the data may be provided between the wireless terminal and the network node during the sub-subframe of the subframe. Related network nodes and wireless terminals are also discussed.

  • Publication number: 20160254741
Abstract: A current-limiting circuit that includes a transistor connected between an input terminal and an output terminal of the current-limiting circuit. A controller is arranged to monitor a current flowing through the transistor and to control the transistor based on the monitored current so as to limit the current, wherein a voltage dropped across the transistor varies over a range of values during operation in a current-limiting mode. The controller includes a timing module arranged to control, based on a value of the voltage across the transistor, a period of time for which the transistor limits the current. For all ranges of voltage that may be dropped across the transistor during the current-limiting mode, the timing module is arranged to control the respective period of time for each range, such that the transistor dissipates substantially the maximum amount of energy that it is capable of dissipating without sustaining damage.

  • Publication number: 20160146242
Abstract: A fastening assembly includes a fastening element extending along a central axis between a first and a second end. The fastening element includes a head section extending from the second end along the central axis and engageable by a tool, such as a hexagonal head. A protruding cylindrically shaped section has a smaller diameter than the head section. A flanged section is arranged between the head section and the protruding cylindrically shaped section. The fastening element on the cylindrically shaped section includes an engaging section. A first portion of the engaging section is positioned at a distance from the surface of the flanged section facing the first end, such that a locking washer will be stopped from reaching the surface of the flanged section if introduced on the cylindrically shaped section with its smaller central diameter in the direction of the engaging section.

  • Publication number: 20150107020
Abstract: Disclosed is a patient lift system having a sling bar with an inductively charged integrated scale. The lift system comprises a lift apparatus, a lift strap connected at a first end to the lift apparatus, a sling bar connected to a second free hanging end of the lift strap, the sling bar having a scale with a tension load cell integrally disposed therein for measuring forces applied thereto and a power source electrically connected to the scale to provide power to the scale and load cell. An accelerometer is disposed within the sling bar to determine a tilt angle of a lift axis of the load cell relative to a vertical direction of gravitational force. Programming stored in a processor of the integrated scale calculates an accurate weight of an active load suspended from the sling bar, based on the determined tilt angle and the measured force on the load cell.
