  • Patent number: 10361821
Abstract: In one aspect, a wireless device receives a first data transmission from a base station during a predetermined subframe interval and within a duration that is less than a maximum data transmission duration that is possible within the predetermined subframe interval, and determines a transmission time for transmitting HARQ feedback to the base station such that the determined transmission time depends on which subset of symbols within the predetermined subframe interval was used for the first data transmission. The wireless device transmits HARQ feedback for the first data transmission at the determined transmission time. In another aspect, a base station transmits the first data transmission and determines a reception time for receiving HARQ feedback such that the determined transmission time depends on which subset of symbols within the predetermined subframe interval was used. The base station receives HARQ feedback for the first data transmission at the determined transmission time.

  • Patent number: 10333560
Abstract: A node (110, 115) receives (804) transmissions associated with a given set of information bits, wherein each of the transmissions use a different polar code and share one or more information bits of the given set of information bits. The node determines (808), at each of a plurality of polar decoders (505, 605) of the node, soft information for each information bit included in an associated one of the transmissions, wherein each of the plurality of polar decoders is associated with a different transmission of the transmissions. The node provides (812), from each polar decoder of the plurality to one or more other polar decoders of the plurality, the determined soft information for any information bits shared by their respective associated transmissions, and uses (816) the provided soft information in an iterative decoding process to decode one or more of the received transmissions.

  • Publication number: 20190181882
Abstract: Encoding/decoding method comprising the derivation of the elements of base matrices for Quasi-Cyclic LDPC, codes using different lifting sizes to obtain variable code lengths. The cyclic shift values of smaller lifting sizes Z are derived from stored elements a base matrix corresponding to a maximal lifting sizes Zmax by applying right shifting (ceil(log 2Z/Zmax) times) to a binary vector representation of all non-negative stored elements of the base matrix corresponding to Zmax. The right shifting operation may be applied only when the stored cyclic shift value corresponding to Zmax is larger than the smaller lifting size Z. • Publication number: 20190124680
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that relate to signaling of Time Division Duplexing (TDD) subframe use to short Transmit Time Interval (sTTI) wireless devices. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a network node in a cellular communications network comprises signaling, to a wireless device, an indication of a TDD subframe set to use, where the TDD subframe set specifies subframe selection for legacy transmissions and sTTI, transmissions. In this manner, both sTTI transmissions can be made in selected legacy TDD subframes, which provides latency reduction in frame alignment and Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) Round Trip Time (RTT) for TDD.

  • Publication number: 20190110311
Abstract: Systems and methods for collision handling between transmissions using a first Transmission Time Interval (TTI) and transmissions using a second TTI, such as a legacy TTI and a short TTI (sTTI), are provided.
