  • Publication number: 20070144393
Abstract: This invention describes ammunition that does not have a case but rather, utilizes the bullet itself for containing the propellant. The bullet is made of high strength material such as steel so as to withstand the explosive force of one or more types of propellant contained therein. The propellant is in a generally solid state so that it is effectively retained within the bullet. One or more types of propellant especially those having highly explosive characteristics may be layered within the bullet and ignited such that the bullet is propelled with a velocity equivalent to current ammunition. The bullet could be loaded manually or mechanically into a firearm such as a rifle or pistol just as current ammunition is loaded therein. Firing is accomplished by the purposeful ignition of the propellant by impact, spark, heat or other methods within current state of the art.

  • Publication number: 20060008186
Abstract: Disclosed is a reclosable child resistant package having a front panel and a back panel that are connected together at their bottom, left, and right sides. The tops of these panels have closing means preferably consisting of a projection extending from the interior surface, near the top, of the front panel and a cooperating depression in the interior surface, near the top, of the back panel. The package is closed by squeezing the tops of the two panels together, forcing the projection into the cooperating depression. Part of the child resistant feature requires that there is insufficient material above said closing means to grasp for opening the package. The package is opened by moving the front panel with respect to the back panel, as indicated. This movement causes the panels to flex removing a portion of the projection from the depression. This causes the tops of the panels to separate a sufficient amount so as to allow one to grasp the tops of the panels to pull them apart, to fully open the package.

  • Publication number: 20050067416
Abstract: A reclosable child resistant package including a container having an open end and retention means on the internal surface of the container, adjacent the open end; and a closure having a top panel with a sidewall depending from the top panel with retention means on an exterior surface of the closure sidewall that cooperates with retention means in the container. The retention means may consist of cooperating screw threads on the closure sidewall and in the container near its open end. These threads are also used for opening the package. If alternate retention means are used to retain the closure within the container it may be necessary to include alternate opening means to elevate the closure from the container as the closure is rotated. When the package is closed the closure has little or no exposed vertical surface but the panel top surface on the closure is exposed.

  • Patent number: 5997684
Abstract: A method of constructing a lined closure in which a liner having a circular base, a liner membrane and a thermoplastic adhesive securing the liner membrane to the base, is press fitted into a closure having a skirt with internal threads such that the liner engages and rides over the threads and is positioned against the internal base of the closure. Heat is applied to the liner at least around the periphery of the liner so as to melt the thermoplastic adhesive and resecure the liner membrane to the liner base. In this way, the liner membrane is resecured to the liner base so as to correct any separation between the membrane and base that might have occurred as the liner was press fitted into the closure.

  • Patent number: 5020681
Abstract: A child resistant closure comprising outer and inner nested closure members each of which has a base wall on a peripheral skirt with sets of lugs on the inner surface of the outer closure member and on the outer surface of the inner closure member which are adapted to be engaged when the members are moved axially toward one another. The outer surface of the base wall of the inner closure member is provided with a plurality of ramps and depressions and the inner surface of the base wall of the outer closure member is formed with a plurality of integral spring fingers. When the closure is applied, the springs fingers engage the depressions and orient the outer closure member and inner closure member preventing inadvertent engagement of the lugs by any top load. When the outer closure member is rotated relative to the inner closure member without bringing the lugs thereof into engagement, the spring fingers slip over the ramps allowing the outer closure member to rotate with respect to the inner closure member.
