  • Patent number: 11172542
Abstract: A communication system includes a central cloud server that generates a connectivity enhanced database based on a correlation among sensing information obtained from a plurality of vehicles, processing chain parameters obtained from donor side of each edge device of the plurality of vehicles, and position information of one or more network nodes. One or more RSU devices of the communication system are caused to direct one or more specific beams of RF signals to service donor side of a first edge device of a new vehicle when the new vehicle arrives and moves along a first travel path and when the new vehicle is designated as a known user. The one or more specific beams are selected based on the connectivity enhanced database bypassing an initial access-search on the first edge device of the new vehicle as well as the one or more RSU devices.

  • Patent number: 11159958
Abstract: A central cloud server that periodically obtains sensing information and beam alignment information from a plurality of edge devices. The sensing information and the beam alignment information is correlated for different times-of-day such that a connectivity enhanced database is generated that specifies a plurality of time-of-day specific uplink and downlink beam alignment-wireless connectivity relationships for a surrounding area of each of the plurality of edge devices independent of a plurality of different wireless carrier networks. A different subset of information is distributed from connectivity enhanced database to each of the plurality of edge devices according to a corresponding position of each edge device. The different subset of information causes an edge device to service one or more UEs in a motion or stationary state in its surrounding area independent of different wireless carrier networks bypassing an initial access-search on the corresponding edge device.

  • Publication number: 20210325383
Abstract: A lateral flow assay device includes a test strip that is configured to receive a sample fluid and detect a presence of antibodies to one or more of a plurality of proteins of the target pathogen. The lateral flow assay device includes a conjugate pad and a membrane. The conjugate pad contains a plurality of the proteins of the target pathogen, each conjugated with a label. If the sample fluid contains antibodies that are specific to the target pathogen through any of the target pathogen's proteins, a binding takes place between those antibodies and the corresponding tagged protein. The membrane may include a plurality of test lines. Each test line may contain the immobilized binding reagent to one antibody class, resulting in the concentration of all the molecules of that antibody class on the test line.

  • Publication number: 20210285910
Abstract: A lateral flow assay device comprising a conjugate pad for receiving a quantity of fluid, and a membrane comprising a test line for determining whether the fluid comprises a target analyte. The device includes an actuator connected to a moving element comprising a shaft or a wheel. A first magnet is connected to the backing of the membrane. Second and third magnets are connected to the moving element. The actuator moves the moving element between first and second positions. In the first position, the opposite poles of the first and second magnets attract each other and maintain a gap between the membrane and the conjugate pad separate. In the second position, the similar poles of the first and third magnets repel each other and close the gap between membrane and the conjugate pad, allowing the fluid to flow from the conjugate pad into the membrane and the test line.
